Good Morning to Everyone.

Not quite 100% but better. It might be about 80%. My weekend was ok. It would of been better if my husband actually would be better at letting me rest. He doesn't know what that is.

My husband actually said Your sick again. Why am I sick so much. I told him the doctor actually said to rest. He really doesn't know what rest is.

Then I come back to work and my boss is being an A** about why things did not get done. He keeps forgetting that I was off for a week and then we had a new computer/ copier that we had to learn then I got sick. Things don't get done when that is all happening. Now our program that we all use is down and it looks like it will be down for a day or two. YIKES! That will really be bad.

No, I think he is acting like a baby and we decided that he is fighting with his wife because he does this when he is in trouble with either his wife or the executive boss.

I will. Have a great rest of the day. I wish I was going home. I keep looking at the clock and it is not moving. I have over 4 and 1/2 hour left.

Well it will be if the fixer person can actually get the system up and running. I really wonder what we would do with out computers.

Blondie, you sound like me...always on the run! Look out if I ever get sick though...because I do not do well when I am supposed to be resting. I get cranky that I cannot keep up with the tracks I usually keep.

As for me, Im doing okay. I am trying to not be frustrated because I missed a call from my Sailor-to-be last night. She has to shave a little off of her run in order to not be ASMO'd. Hope this works out for her.

Blondie--Glad you had a busy, (since you always like to stay busy), but long holiday weekend. I am going to try and save enough money to go see her early next month, that way it will give her time to be at the Phase where she can leave base.

Good afternoon everyone!! Decided to come on a little early today so I can catch everyone during the day!!! And Blondie is leaving early!!!
I'm pretty much done unpacking the kitchen - at least those things that will fit!!! I have some stuff in a box that will just have to stay in a box!!! Now - where do I put the box? Haven't figured out where I'm going to keep the empty boxes because we will just reuse them again in 4 months.

I hope you get to get a little "me" time here and there so you can get healthy again!!! Always takes us moms a little longer when we still have to work, take care of the house, etc.... Sending you get well hugs as well!!!!

Jean--I know that's right, when you are sick you still have to do everything,(cook and clean), but glad to hear you are getting better.

At least I can breath again with out pain. That is a bonus. I guess everything else will come in line soon.

MandE'sMom--My sailor had the same problem, had to shave 35 secs. off her time, but somehow they find the strength to do it. Really sorry you missed that call.

Anna--Yeah!!! You got the unpacking done faster than I could of. I would just put the boxes in the back of a closet. I know you will or probably already have figured it out.

Good afternoon! Enjoyed a Skype chat with my sailor late last night and then I couldn't sleep. It was not a good connection but I enjoyed it anyway.

Jean, I hope you are back 100% soon.

EQ, When sailors are on hold waiting to class up, they are kept busy cleaning, painting, etc. They do not just lounge around.

Jean--I know with you not being back at 100% and the boss on your case, you are having to bite your tongue. Some parts of the body, as you know, just take longer to feel better. Hopefully soon.

EQ, you are right about bitting my tongue. It is so sore that it actually hurt to eat. I already told my boss that I can not talk to him today because I will say something that I will regret if I start. He has backed off sort of. You know how a boss really backs off. He is holding the gun and waiting to blow me away again.

Sorry that your boss is just adding to your not feeling well!!! I'm sure his attitude and demeanor are adding to problems you just don't need to be dealing with. I had a female boss a couple years back that was the boss from H E double hockey sticks!!!! Why is they just don't understand that if you are out sick and someone doesn't pick up the slack for you you will be behind. And if you're not 100% it will take more to get even the routine jobs done. And then their harping just adds to the problem - NOT create a solution!!!!
Hang in there and I so hope it all gets better for you SOON!!!!!

Jean--You know he wouldn't dare shoot you, then nothing would get done and it would take to much time to train somebody to fill your shoes. Don't you let him walk all over you. Maybe you should open your mouth and tell him like it is and stop walking around on egg shells. If only you could, what a relief it would be. That is why people go postal.

Thanks so much for the vote of confidence. However, that is only ONE room that is just about finished. Now I get to work on the bathroom and bedroom!!!! What is that expression? - - - trying to put 10 pounds of sh** in a 5 pound bag!!!!!!! ha ha

The support staff here is deciding that we might have to go on strike for a few hours. Until he changes his attitude. I will let you know if that will happen. Right now I am waiting to talk to my executive director about how he is treating us. But she is busy with the computer problem that has shut our whole office down. I don't want to over burden her on her first day back from a 4 week vacation.

DC--I didn't think the Navy would just let them sit around and get paid for not doing anything. I was just wondering, because I have heard that some sailors A-school don't start for a month after PIR., my sailors A-school is suppose to start in a week, unless there are not enough to fill up the class.

Jean--I really think you all should strike if only for an hour or so. Maybe that SOB would pull his head out of you know where, and would come to realize what a jerk he is and how much you all really do. I really hope you do it, see how well he runs things by himself.

The probable with striking is that it would have to be for more then a few hours. For him to feel it it would have to be about 3 hours.or more.

Anna--Ha Ha!!! Trying to be funny are you. LOL!!! Talking about the bathroom and 10 lbs. of poop. It is a challenge and I am sure you will come out smelling like a rose. (anything is better than what you could come out smelling like) ROFL!!!!!

Good morning! We had a brief shower with some thunder this morning. It is not raining now but very overcast. We do so need rain.

Blondie, I think it was more excitement keeping me from sleeping. Old age does not help, however. :-) I found out that because I went to sleep late and awoke later than intended, I missed another call early in the morning. :-( She is again back at sea so I await the next port of call.

EQ, I didn't mean to imply that you thought the sailors would get paid for nothing. Sometimes the "hurry up and wait" mode of operation seems very inefficient. Not only do they do "make work" jobs but the sailors become very bored.

Boy it's cool up here today!! I think it's so funny that when hubby discovered this apartment did not have air conditioning we were concerned that we'd have to buy a window unit just to keep our bedroom cool at night!!! I'm thinking I may have to learn how to turn on the heater soon!!!!! But I prefer cool so I'm happy!!!

I had a chance to skype with my son, dil, and the granddaughter last night. She is still such a cutie!! And the smiles just make your heart sing!! Sailor Son is doing fine but I wish he wouldn't vounteer so much for the dangerous stuff!! He just loves getting into the thick of things - always did. He keeps saying it's because I dropped him when he was a baby!!!!!! ha ha!!

I am feeling much better today. The printer problem is sort of solved. they have it on a temp. server until they can get a new one installed. So we are able to at least function today.

Cool I need one of those. Actually I am going to get one after work. I am meeting my brother for drinks after work.

Sorry I stepped away for awhile - had to redo all the wires and cable for the tv and internet get the tv on the stand and move things around so hubby can access the little woodstove-looking heater!!! We are supposed to have freeze warnings tonight already!!!

My son is also an IS2 so he gets involved in those things but then also volunteers for base security and then other events that involve him and a few other "idiots", helicopters firing their big guns at them (with blanks so they say!!) and seals firing at them (again, blanks). Son said he "died" several times the other night!!!!

Yeah I head from my daughter yesterday. It was only way of Email but it was nice to see that she is feeling better also.

Blondie, that is so funny. It is no wonder that we ever get anything done.

Have you; tried to eat every 2 hours. That seems to help me to lose weight. In the last 3 years I have lose over 130 pounds by eating every 2 hours. Maybe that will help. I don't really eat Hugh meals though.

Sorry you have a hard time with it. I am right there with you. I can't lose what the doctor want now either. I think it is my meds that make it impossible to do so. It was the meds that got there in the first place.

We have yucky weather here in Seattle. I guess fall is hear. NOW.

Today was my daughters first day @ BC...she arrived last night. Today begins my withdrawals--no texting, no calls, no "MOMMMMMMMMMMMMM! LOL I also told her that I know she'll loose about 20-25 lbs--which won't hurt her--and I told her I'd try to loose 20 as well! I think she'll have better luck then I will!
