Nanette, you know what I am talking about then. I wonder why they think they know it all when they are so new to the program? I have been at my job for over 9 and 1/2 years and I should know my job by now and she tries to take over and change it. It doesn't work thank God for that. But I really do understand what you are talking about.
  • Nanette

Jean, YUP! it is ssssooooooooooo FRUSTRATING.  :-|
  • Oneofalot

    I totally agree with you.
  • Donna-Amanda's mom

OMG Jean and Blondie, I know exactly what you are talking about. Dealt with that for the last 24 1/2 yrs. Luckily, I left and don't have to deal with it anymore. Now I just have to deal with finding a NEW job. Now I'm not sure which is worse. lol Don't understand how people come to work and do nothing but leave notes for the day shift to do all they were supposed to do but don't have time.
  • Oneofalot

    Amen to that.
  • Oneofalot

Very Scary. Why is that there are some that really do work..ie my daughter. She love to keep busy. If she is not moving and doing something it drives her crazy.
  • Oneofalot

Thanks. At least I don't have to worry about my kids. They all have a good job or are in school right now. My 2nd son will be starting school this fall. He wants to be a cook. My 3rd son which is in school now is looking to go to the University next fall. He is transferring over from the community college. My oldest has a great computer job. He has had it for years. Yeah. They are all taken care of. Thank God for that.
  • Oneofalot

I always like that one. It always calmed me down.
  • Oneofalot

Yes it does. I needle pointed that saying for my mom one year for Christmas. It is still hanging up in the house I grow up in.
  • Oneofalot

While I don't think my sister has seen it or she just hasn't changed anything. She is to upset with everything. She took my mom's death really hard.
  • Oneofalot

Cathy. she goes to this website all the time. I think she checks in at the RR site. I think you might be right though. She has gotten better. I guess what they really do say time will heal all wounds. I had my counselor help me. I don't want to get stuck.
  • Oneofalot

    Thanks Amen to that.
  • Oneofalot

LOL Only if it will make you feel better. It won't take you home. You'll have to do that.
  • Oneofalot

Breath Deep think of a wonderful stream in a lush meadow with nothing other then the the music of the birds. or sitting on a quiet beach watching the waves go in and out as the sun sets.
  • Nanette

I would like a new job but I'm at that in between age, not old, but too old to start over.  Would like to work others my age since they most likely would have the same work ethics.  Only thing is I would miss my res.  And I know they would miss me and appreciate me as I was gone for almost a mo. this last summer and they kept saying how glad they were I was back.  I guess we just have to choose if we want to keep putting up the garbage or move on.  There will always be something though no matter where we are.
  • gosman454

Well said tshirt.  We'll have to get our daughter one.

  • Nanette

I LIKE IT!  maybe I will order one.
  • kathryn56

    Great shirt!
  • Nanette

Jane, I would chill til the end of the year.  Can you go to another district?  Not sure I would want to work for a district that promote idiots and satanic stuff.  I know it's all over, but knowing this, I myself would go elsewhere.
  • kathryn56

Blondie, she is such a special woman. I am glad you got to hear from her.
  • Oneofalot

    Good Morning to Everyone
  • Oneofalot

I hope you are feeling better now. That would be scary for me. When my blood pressure drops that when I get my dizzy spells and they come on fast. I am glad your hubby was with you.

My hubby finely passed his kidney stone. It took about a week of really pain for him. At least he thinks he passed it. He feels better.

I will pray for your Blondie that it stabilizes out.

  • Oneofalot

Blondie I am also glad you got a call from your sailor. I haven't gotten the box out yet. I keep finding things to put in it. I will try and get it out probably tomorrow. I have a counseling appointment today and it takes a lot out of me.
  • kathryn56

Blondie, hope you feel better. Jean, hope your session is not too draining. I am back from the science fair. The trip went well. A little freshman female drama, but our older kids really showed both leadership and kindness in dealing with it. I was very proud of them. We will miss some of our repeat seniors next  year. My daughter starts "real" A school today.he was lucky in not having to wait long. She got the brownies I sent her on Friday and was very happy. I figure with the wait time you ladies are reporting for packages to get there, I  better send baked goods while I can! (Jean, I hope I am not being a pain, but any word from your daughter?)

    Take care, ladies!

  • Oneofalot

You aren't being a pain, Kathryn. She sees the doctor tomorrow. Yesterday she ended up not feeling to good but I guess it is they way it has been going. Some day they will figure out what is messing with her. She is getting really bored just doing nothing while her shipmates are so busy. She wants to be with them.
  • Anna

Hello all - sorry I haven't said hello recently.  Still thinking about all of you.

    Kathryn,

Thanks for asking - I was just getting ready to do the same thing (about Jean's daughter)!!!!

    Jean,

Thanks for the update!!  I pray the doctors find out what keeps knocking her down and can fix it!!!!!  Sounds so simple doesn't it??

Hoping everyone has a really good week!!!!!

  • Oneofalot

Thanks for asking everyone. Yes, I am hoping that tomorrow they will be able to tell her what it wrong. But I really don't think they even know. She is just getting worse sort of as the time goes on. She has her good days and then the bad ones. I really wish I could go down there. I might just do that if tomorrow comes back with no answer. She needs a moral boost. She has her brother right now, but we all know what brothers can be like. lol.
  • Oneofalot

I love that. I've copied it off and put it on my wall at work.
  • Anna

    Blondie,

he he - that looks so familiar!!!!!   :)

  • navyfam

Feel Better Blondie! Praying for you :)

Jean thanks for the update...praying they get your daughter's problem figured out...it must be hard to be  feeling good and then bad and not know what the problem is.  Hang in there and know that prayers are going up!

Kathryn-glad you made it home safely and had a good trip with the science fair kids!

    Love you girls!

  • Nanette

Hope you feel better Blondie.  Praying for you
  • Oneofalot

    Good Morning to Everyone.
  • Anna

    Hello Jean!!!  How are you?

    Where is everyone today??

  • kathryn56

Hi, every one! I had kids waiting for me at 7:30 this morning. Ihope everyone had a good day. Jean, I hope your daughter had news. Blondie, I hope you felt better today..

Hi, Anna! Hope all is well with you.

    Hello Nannette and navfam.

Daughter started "real" A school classes yesterday.

We are getting some rain here, which is very needed. Yay!

  • Nanette

Sent my first letter off today.  Will send another one tomorrow, I'm guessing they can never get toooooooo many letters.:-}  Have a wonderful evening.
  • Anna

No Nanette - although I have heard of some having to send some of their letters home mid bc because they run out of room to store them!!!  But never ever heard from anyone that it was a problem because they were getting too many letters!!!!  Keep that NavyMom love going!!!!!
  • kathryn56

Okay, Anna, starting off something with "No, Nannette" really needs the other "No". (Sorry, I love musicals).

Nannette, my daughter loved all of her mail from everyone, especially pictures drawn by neice and nephew. (And writing made me feel closer to her, as well!).

Good morning, all! Hope your day goes well.

  • Oneofalot

    Good Morning to Everyone.

My daughter got her test stuff back. They did not find anything. They are sending her back to the ship sick and all.

  • lindalav

jean i am so sorry to hear that!  I hope whatever it is goes away naturally and quickly..

havent been on much lately been hectic here at home.  We are finally getting rain here in florida which is very needed to get rid of the fires...

my girl should be finished at GL by end of april and headed to san diego.  she was told will probably not go on ship yet her sponsor said will probably not transport her till after leave the japan assistance.  shes kind of disappointed because she wanted to get there and  help.  I guess we shall see

  • Oneofalot

That will probably be the same flight my daughter will be on. She is suppose to go back to her ship some time soon.

Maybe the test she will have on Monday will find something so we can really know what has been bothering her.

  • kathryn56

Jean, I am so sorry to hear the lack of news. That poor girl! Please know we continue to pray.
  • Oneofalot

Thanks everyone. Blondie, I am pretty sure they have. They have taken so much blood in the last few months I was surprised that there is other test they have to do.
  • Oneofalot

Blondie, she doesn't drink soda. She is my water baby. Always has liked water and nothing else. I wish it was that easy.

Yuck, I am not wishing for your snow today.I would rather have the yucky rain we are having.

  • Oneofalot

That is horrible. You take care of yourself. There is only one of you and if you get sick then everyone will not do well. Your hubby will have to take care of you. So you need to go home and relax. That is Dr. Jean's orders. LOL.
  • Anna

    Kathryn,

I'm so sorry - - I didn't even catch the musicality of my post until you pointed it out!!!  lol - I'll have to pay more attention next time!!!!

    Jean,

I am so sorry the doctors haven't found something tangible to explain your daughter's medical issues.  Sending up plenty of prayers that this test tomorrow will be their "ah ha" momment!!

Gotta love this SPRING weather.  NY is calling for snow beginning Thurs night and going through Friday!!  Calling for up to 12 - 14 inches in some areas.  Luckily I haven't learned yet what "area" we are in when it comes to where the hardest hit places are.  I really don't want to know!!!!!

  • kathryn56

    Good morning, ladies!

Anna, I hope you are not in a hard hit snow area. I went to school in Rochester NY for 8 years and came from south Arkansas. My mom and sis did not really believe the weather difference until they came up for graduation and it snowed in May!

Hiope every one has a great day. I m busy putting the finishing touches on our school prom (3 weeks to go!)..

  • Oneofalot

    Good Morning to Everyone.

Good Luck Blondie at the dentist. I hope it all goes well.

  • Oneofalot

    will Do.
  • Anna

    Blondie,

Our storm is not coming from OH - it's coming from the south off the coast of NC.  They're calling it a spring nor'eastern.  But it looks like we're not going to get hit as bad as they first predicted.  Now it's supposed to head out farther east off the coast so the big snowfall will be farther east as well.  Ok with me!!!

  • kathryn56

Good morning, all. Hope your day goes well. Anna, hope the snow was not too bad. Blondie, hope the dentist went well.

Watch out for tricksters today! My fav part of April Fool's Day is the student April Fool newspaper. They are so creative.
