Carol our prayers are with baby Noah and his parents! God bless them and be with them.
I have an answer to prayer to share with you all....my nephew Matt is on his way home! He will continue his recovery from his own room! He had contracted an infection but they got it whipped! We are all so excited. He will not be able to walk or stand on his leg for another 12-18 months and will face an upcoming surgery for urethra repair, but he is on his way home right now! Praise God...thank you so much for your prayers. I will keep you posted as God continues this miracle of healing.
Ladies, I am praying for all of you & your prayer requests. I know how much it truly means to know that there are such wonderful prayer warriors raising your name and those you are praying for to God. He is an AWESOME God and is ALWAYS there even when we don't think He is. God Bless you all!!! God Bless our military!!!!
Good Morning all, afternoon if you aren't on the west coast! I got a text late last night that my nephew arrived home safe and is settling in well. They delivered his hospital bed and wheelchair well in advance, so he is all set! My sister in law is beaming with excitement at having her little boy home! The Lord has brought this amazing young man through so much already, we are confident that he will continue to improve and make a full recovery. Thank you all for your continued prayer for Matt and my family, we so very much appreciate you all!
God bless, I will keep you posted~ My prayers for all who need it today, the Lord knows your needs and hears what is in your heart.
Bugsmom, so relieved to hear that Matt is now home and comfortable as can be expected. I'm so very sure his mother is beyond relieved. Thank God that he is able to come home to recuperate. Still praying for you, Matt and the family. Praise God!
Blondie, I definitely will be praying for you and your daughter. Know how hard it is to stay true to the Lord when you don't have support from those who are around you. God bless you both.
Blondie, praying for your health to improve. May the Lord bless you and strengthen you body. Also praying that your daughter doesn't get caught in the middle of this power struggle. The stress has to be so intense, jealousy is an ugly thing and satan loves to use it when he can! I pray that the Lord will give them a peaceful calming and a safe voyage. Hopefully now that you've gotten some of that off your chest, you can get the rest your body needs. God bless you and your daughter. Hugs to you all!
By the way my father and brother built ramps yesterday so that Matt would not be confined to one room in their house. He can now maneuver up and out of the living room, where his hospital bed has been set up, and out on to the porch and absolutely loves getting the fresh air! Thank you all for your continued prayers and support.
Don't know how many of you heard songs in church today that reminded you of fathers, brothers, sons. Lots of tears, but lots of great memories.
Dear God,
Thank you so much for the memories we hold in our heart till we meet in heaven. You hold such great promise for us! How can we remain sad? For these are the people who will meet us in heaven! Praises to you for all you have given us.
Amen
Blondie, so glad to hear that your health is improving, will continue to pray for you and for your daughter. Counting our blessings does renew the soul!
I have more good news to share, my son has arrived at his new place in the "sandbox". He is safe, praise the Lord. He may also be able to start emailing, that sure would be a huge blessing to this mom's heart! Thank you all for your continued love and support. I pray for your all each and everyday!
Hugs and love! Bugsmom
Blondie, what a beautiful poem! I love the little angel! Both my children are redheads, how appropriate! Thank you my friend, you are one of the blessings
I count! Amen......
Carol, that's wonderful news. We will continue to pray until he's out of the woods! Lord thank you for touching Baby Noah and thank you for being with his young parents. Bless them Lord, touch their lives and calm their hearts. Continue to strengthen Baby Noah's body and we WILL give YOU the praise, in Jesus' name...AMEN!
Good Morning, praying with you all this morning and thanking God for the many blessings everyday. Jean I pray that you get wonderful news at your doctors appointment today. Nurse Navy Mom I pray that the Lord leads you to your next job assignment and that your mother is healed of whatever her illness may be. Also praying for those at GL and for the family of the young man who felt it necessary to take his own life, Lord please have mercy on his soul and comfort his family. For all those in need of your loving, healing hands Lord I lift them up to you and praise You for your compassion, your guidance and your love. Amen.
Just read over all the posts for the last two days and thanking God for all the healing and also praying for those who need prayer. I will be keeping all of them and you in my thoughts and prayers. I can't imagine what the family is going through of the young man who was so distraught that he took his own life. I also have a prayer request myself. My daughter, Alison and two granddaughters, Kenzie & Madi are driving from Arkansas to Michigan on Wednesday, June 23. Please pray for them to have travel mercies. My SIL is still in Afghanistan and they are coming to visit me for a couple weeks. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.
Father God, I come to you asking for your protection and guidance for Ali, Kenz & Madi as they travel from Arkansas to Michigan tomorrow. Please continue to protection Luke in Afghanistan and Allen in Diego Garcia. I also ask for your favor over my other daughter, Andrea with her custody situation. I pray that she will not lose her case or full-custody of Marissa. Thank Father for allowing me to come to you with these troubles and requests. I thank You also for allowing me to finally move into my own house this week. It has been a lot of work, but it definitely is worth all the struggle. I ask these things & praise and honor Your name, Lord. Jesus name, Amen.
Cheryl, praying for safe travels for your family tomorrow. Also standing in prayer for your other requests. God bless your new home, I'm very happy for you. Saying prayers for all you and your family. Sharon, welcome back, praying for your health.
Proud Mom, praying for your son's division. Lord there are 77 young people working very hard to get through boot camp, you know the difficulties they face even under normal circumstances. We ask that you speak to the hearts of these 10 who are causing problems and lift up the 77 who are struggling because of their actions. We also ask that you restore Sharon's health to 100% so that she may be up to the challenges of organizing this trip to Japan, may she feel your loving touch as you restore her health. For all others needing your special guidance and love today Lord, we ask that you touch them and allow them to feel you working on their behalf. In Jesus name, Amen!
BugsMom, NurseNavyMom & Blondie, Thank you so much for your prayers and thoughts! It means so much to me to know that there are ladies like you out there who have never met me but care and pray for me and my family. I am praying also for all of you. Always caring!
Proud Mom 72, praying for your son in BC. It is so hard to get thru BC without troublemakers, but I'm sure it is more frustrating for those 77 who are giving their all.
Sharon, praying for you to be 100% for the organization of your trip and for your trip itself. Father God, You know the needs of those here on the site. I pray for your comfort, strength, protection and love for each an every one. Also, guide and direct those who are in boot camp with Proud Mom 72's son. You know what is happening with the 10 who are causing trouble. Please handle for the other 77. Give them comfort and strength to endure. In Jesus name, Amen.
Lord I am praying that the storms that are bothering the Mid west and other parts of the US, please stop them and help the people recover from the ones they have already had. Keep everyone safe where Blondie is and let the storm just pass on by. In Jesus name Amen.
Lord, you know the path the storms are on, please direct them so that Blondie and all others in it's path remain safe. Please continue to bless all the moms on this site, they are all amazing moms! It's such a blessing to have them all here to pray for each other and Lord I feel honored to be a part of this group. You do know the needs of each and every one of us Lord and we thank you for meeting our needs and answering our prayers. In Jesus name Amen!
Good morning! Blondie, hope the weather is nice and calm where you are today and the dog is safe and sound too. Sharon, praise God, 90% headed for 100%! So happy you will see your son soon. Give him a hug for me! I heard from my DIL last night, my son got one of my packages, the one with the shorts he needed, hope they fit. It's 110 in Afghan so he needed them so desperately. I have no idea where in Afghan he is, but that's okay, just need to know he's okay. My prayers are with you all. Hugs!
Praises for the opportunity to be with our son before he deploys. His finances are tight waiting upon an error in his pay, so we are here at the right time to help him through. We also have the chance to meet his landlord roommate whom he met at welding school. Plus, our daughter in law was able to drive in from Charelston to be with us.
Small talk in the back seat was great. The question was "What is life?" Both son and I answered in unison "To Serve the Lord cheerfully!" Wow.
Beautiful memories Carol, what a blessing to get those times. Praying for your friend Nurse navy mom and for you to find your next job opportunitiy. Praising the Lord for your mom's health improving. God bless you all!
Okay here is my list of blessings: 1. I have a good job and have been at it for almost 3 years. 2. I have wonderful children and they are healthy 3. I have a very supportive husband 4. My husband found a job, although it may be temporary, you never know how God is going to work this all out. 5. I have wonderful friends 6. My 3 dogs are all healthy, even the 12 year old one 7. My health is improving everyday 8. My car is still running 9. We may have enough money to buy the new tires we so desperately need 10. We may also have enough money to build a storage shed we also very much need 11. We may be receiving a lawn tractor to use 12. My husband can fix almost anything and the Lord knows we need him to have this ability 13. God never leaves our side 14. I have this site to come to pray on. 15. My DIL is learning to cope with my son's deployment better each day, so proud of her. 16. My son is safe and I know the Lord is watching over him. This really is easy, thank you Blondie for reminding me to count my blessings, I will count that as #17!
Sharon, praying that you are soon 100%
Nurse Navy Mom - praying for your needs to be met
Jean - praying for your son
Blondie - thank you again for reminding us to count our blessings, rejoicing with you all!
Just want to let you all know that my daugher, Alison and 2 granddaughters made it safe and sound Wednesday from Arkansas to Michigan. I am sorry it took me so long to notify everyone that they made it. I have been so busy and enjoying our time together that I haven't been online to do so. Thank you all for your prayers!!! You all are so loving and wonderful!!!!
Out being a tourist for the day, spent the evening with son, DIL and son's roomie. Come back to a page filled with blessings. Oh, yes, our God is an awesome God!
Thank you for the welcome, Carol! I've been reminded by NurseNavyMom that when all else is failing, I can - and should - be praying. You'd like after all these years, that fact alone would be foremost in my head. Unfortunately when things happen unexpectedly or the seriousnes of something throws cold water then slaps me in the face, that is when I should be on my knees tapping into the real power that makes things happen or change - God Himself. I'm glad I can be part of something like this.
Blondie - I want you to know that I am praying for you specifically that you won't slip into that pit called depression. I know it has slippery slopes, I've been through it for a number of years now.
Dear Jesus, please be with this woman. Help her to find hope and peace in you. Keep her out of that black pit and let her husband help her in this. But, Lord, if Your will is for her to go into it, let her know in tangible ways that You are with her. Please keep her mind clear and focused at work. And, Lord Jesus, please help her to get any and all the help she needs to come out on the other side praising Your name. Amen
Lord, I want to pray for blondie today, she is having a hard time with what is going on with her daughter. Please give rest to her daughter and help blondie get through it. In your name. AMEN.
Blondie - I'm praying for you, even more than usual. That pit does have very slippery sides and it's hard not to slide right down in to it. I just did that very thing. I couldn't see my way out, I kept struggling to climb up those sides, but I slid even further down each time I tried. I finally gave up and I stayed there for 3-4 days. I'm climbing out now, God reached down and held my hand and the sides didn't seem so slippery afterall. He heard my cries, He refused to let me sit at the bottom of that pit any longer. I pray that you know He hears you crying out to Him and He WILL NOT FAIL YOU! He will reach down and pull you back up, no matter how far you've slipped down, He is there with you. We are all here for you as well, God has brought us all together here. God bless you dear sister, He hears you!
Our bishop at conference reminded us that Jesus was nailed to the cross--tightly nailed--so Satan could NOT get between us and the cross. I carry that thought with me when worries creep in.
Blondie--I pray that you feel God carrying you whenever the medical problems of depression occur. Many feel it is something you can just shake off. I believe that God guides our medical care teams to help us. I pray you find the right combination of talk and drug therapy that can help.
We are here to pray for you and we always do care about each other deeply.
Blondie, I pray that they get Kevin to Germany wehre he can receive the treatment he requires. Our Corpsman in Afghanistan is very well trained in stabilizing the wounded and getting them airlifted out. My son is one of those Corpsman over there. He told me about some of the training they receive before they deploy and during their deployment. I will be praying for Kevin and Kathy, that the Lord will touch them and help calm their fears. And for Kevin Jr. that they will have him stabilized and on his way to Germany very quickly. God bless this family, wrap your loving arms around them. Guide the team who is working so deligently on Kevin Jr. and please Lord get him to Germany safely. In Jesus name, Amen!
Dear, dear Blondie, don't ever think that depression is a small thing or that you aren't a strong woman. I agree completely with Judi - there are very often medical reasons for depression. I know I thought I was just being weak, going thru menopause, etc., etc. It took a very insightful gyn to spot the problem. First he insisted I see a psychiatrist (which I fought), but you know what my doc who is not a believer actually found me a Christian psychiatrist who prescribed just the right combination of drugs to help the physical issues of depression. I would encourage you to get these drugs from a psychiatrist, they are the most familiar with them and now the best ones with the fewest side effects. Wouldn't you seek out a good cardiologist over a gyn for cardiac meds?? Same thing. Also do consider talk therapy. Fought that one too & landed in another Christian doctor's office! Jesus must have been laughing over all my fussing and fighting when he knew exactly who I was going to! Don't forget to pray. I also found that listening to praise/worship music when I felt I had nothing to praise Him for really helped. You just can't listen to that kind of music and not become thankful. I tell my husband I'm having "my own private church" when I feel myself getting too close to that pit. And, don't get down on yourself if it takes some time. I am finally out of my depression but I still am dealing with the issue that eventually put me there. I lost my job (which I loved), my family doesn't understand why I can't just forget about it and move on, and some in my church feel I'm doing the wrong thing by taking meds and seeing 2 physicians. I recommend the writer Sheila Walsh. She is a very public personality and she was hospitalized for her depression. My favorites are "Life is Tough But God is Faithful" and "Outrageous Love. A Love That Seeks No Reward (that one is more of a booklet in hardcover form. Just don't let the enemy convince you of any negative thoughts about yourself. He did that to me for far too long. I've been fighting this and in therapy for 4 years now - mainly because I didn't deal with it immediately, but tried to bury it in my mind and forget all about it. It didn't work. One day the neatly wrapped package I'd made in my head spilled its ugly contents and there was no putting the stuff back. I have told very few people what happened, but I feel safe enough to share it with you here, but I was raped leaving work one night (I was a nurse). The enemy of our souls had a field day withthat until I let God lead me to seek help. So, dear sister, please seek help if this continues any longer. Start with your primary care physician and keep pushing until you find the help you need. Sorry this was so long, but I do hope it helps you. If God can reach down and pull me up and convince me that I am a person worthy to be called His daughter thru His Son and that I am blameless before Him - I just know He can and will do it for you too. I'm praying for you. And, like Judi said keep in touch with us - promise??
Blondie, glad you got a call from your sailor. The apple certainly doesn't fall far from the tree. Praying for her and her friend too. Birthdays away are always hard! How sweet of her to worry about her friend so much!
Sharon, our prayers will be with you, have a wonderful trip!
Praying you all have a blessed day and feel God beside you!
Hugs to you all!
By the way, an update on Matt. He is home and has his good days and some restless nights. It's difficult for him to sleep with the metal rod in his leg, but he's doing his best. His spirits are up and down. He has many friends who come by each and every day. Sometimes that makes it hard for him, he can't go with them when they leave and they can't go for those long runs they used to. Please continue to pray for him, he has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Thank you all!
Sharon, have a wonderful time in Japan. Praying for travel safety and a wonderful time with your sailor. Will be looking forward to hearing about your trip when you get back.
Thank you all for your continued prayer for Matt. I've forwarded your messages to my SIL. She hasn't left his side since the accident, she's absolutely amazing! God bless you all!
They live up in the hills, but Matt has many friends. My SIL coached their soccer team a couple of years ago, so I know she has help up there. I've sent her a text message asking what we can send them that would be helpful or comforting. Thank you so much for offering, I will let you know as soon as she responds. That's so sweet of you Blondie! You're all so supportive, thank you so much!
Praise God that Kevin got to speak to his mother. Lord you know his injuries, you know what he needs, please be with Kevin during this time Lord. Be with his parents, let them feel that you are there and are acting on Kevin's behalf. Please be with all our sailors and soldiers in Afghanistan, Iraq and all around the world. Guide them safely Lord, touch them all, each and every heart! Bless Blondie Lord, she is definitely your child. Thank you for the gift she has in speaking to you and Nurse Navy Mom as well. All the members of this group are amazing Lord, bless each and every one, you know their needs. For all others who need your help today, let them all feel your presence. Bless my SIL as she continues to help Matt. Help her to stay strong and healthy and help to keep his spirits up. We ask all of these things in your name Jesus. Amen!
Good Morning, I just got word from my SIL that Matt had been readmitted to the hospital, late Monday evening, for an abscess. He had surgery to remove it and they are hoping he can come home today or tomorrow. She also told me that his ortho is going well and his body is healing well too. Please continue to pray for him and my SIL and brother. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. I also heard from my DIL, she spoke to my son and said he sounded really good. He is adjusting to being in a new area of Afghan. Thank you again, and may God bless you all!
PROUD MOM-- we are praying for the unit. I know their RDC will NOT let them fail! From our lips to God's ears.
MATT will continue to be in our prayers-on top of everything else, we want him to heal well.
