Good morning Sisters,  I'm going to finish my Testimony from yesterday now!!  lol

Well, like I said, my sailor called me the next day, he ask me what have I being doing?  "Nothing"!  lol  Mother, U having been during nothing.  "Nope"!!  I told him, your wife said, I can stay with U all for homecoming, and she was real nice to me.  Didn't she tell U?  Naw, I having talk to her. (I thinking yea-right)  Because she didn't want me to stay @ hotels.  He wanted to kno the dates I will be in town, I said: just only five days unless U need me longer. ;)   Did you forget ur mama is retired?  He said:  But, are you really coming up to VA to see me?  Sure is, wouldn't miss that-- did the Navy made U forget were our hometown is (DC Metro Area)!!  So, he said-- that's fine, Mother I hope I don't have duty time the day when you leave-- because I want to drive my Mother back to the airport!  I said: is that good or bad--- he said Mother, U are sooo crazzzzy!!!  He burst out laughing saying Mother, I have to go now and make another quick call. To who-- that little sweet wife of yours?  He holler lol again!  Mother, U are too funny!  Trust me, he knows something happen and his wife is still In SHOCK and probably affaid to go pass anything that looks like a Pole on the Navy Base. lol  She's not going to be able avoid seeing those Flag Poles because she's a Sailor herself in Norfolk!!!!  (she knows better) She was shock that day we talk, when I told her I'll been with N4M's since he was in boot camp in 2010!!  She said: "Oh, I didn't kno that"----!!  I told her," what--- y'all been married about 2 yrs. now"?  See in LIFE--- its not what you know, but who U know!!!!  "Now, she knoooow his CRAZZZZY A%$  MAMA!

   My oldest grand-child (her dad is 42 yrs) and my youngest child (daughter) both of these ladies are going on 22 yrs old and they are much more crazzzzy than me. (my sailor and his sailor wife both are going on 24 yrs)  So, Miss THANG--just need to Chill-out and be nice to me just like she's been very, very humble to my grown kids!!!  You see how my oldest (42 yrs) old son can be everybody Dad including mines!!!  hahahaha   I just want to enjoy the "Fruits of my HARD LABOR"!!   Yes, I already have my plane tickets for HOMECOMING from my Birthday monies!

can anyone tell the homecoming date for the Truman, my son failed to give me the information and I really want to be there when they get back

Ziggy's mom, you need to contact the ombudsman for the Truman, we cant post due to security reasons. He needs to email HSTFRG_COMMLIAISON@HSTRUMAN.NET with his rank/rate, name, department and division. The Names of everyone going to Homecoming, their email address, phone # and relationship to him. hope this helps, also found out you need to be on this list to get on base for the night before information party.

ziggys mom, we cant give dates on the internet security and all your sailor can mail you information or contact the ombudsmen and they can keep you updated:)

Gina.......Good morning dear!!!  Gurl, go run and look on your son FB page... I bet you he left you a message!   I'm positive your son didn't forget about you or his family!!!!   Remember, it is his "BIRTHDAY"!!!  Because, I went out on my Sailor FB page, I was so happy that he posted lots of photos and blogs out there for his family to see.  He said: All of the Sailor's are running around crazy-- just like kids on a field trip!!!  ("FREEDOM") Most of them are having the time of their lives except for the one's saying they liberty buddy is just to slow to keep up or too boring to be with or both11!  lol  Mother, we don't know why we get struck with slow people.  hahahaha  He said: just look at this pic-- my liberty buddy want to just sit down (sitting down outside at a table) and talk to me (boring). (see my finger pointing--I'm telling them look-- we can talk on the ship %#@#)!!  Gina, his finger is pointing toward somebody!!!  lol  My Sailor said: in another blog, how he see the "Ghetto" is everywhere-- we just saw a lady sitting outside getting her hair braided on the sidewalk in a busy tourist attractions area!  smh (mean: shaking my head) he said: believe it or not his boring liberty buddy even had a good laugh about that!!  Now, let's get back to your Sailor son, I bet you his liberty buddies took him out to Celebrate his Birthday and they had a blast. It probably was the boring buddy, who got them somewhere safe in order for them to ended up Crashing for the night.  Because they got wasted!!!  Too funny Gina, so think positive and pray that he  didn't climb the Flag Pole with a bull horn singing (Mama I try to call you, but the lines were too long.  Happy Birthday to MEEEEEE!!  Mama I LOOOOVE  Uuuuuuuu---)!!  lol  :)  Feel better and laugh, its good for you!!  ps: And NO, I'm not crazzzzzy either, just a barrel of fun and will check people when they cross the line.  (If you read my blog on Wednesday about my Testimony)  :)  Everything going to be Alright!!!  GOD BLESS YOU!!  I'm going to bed now--good-nite!!!

Gina.... I'm Happy dancing 4 U, ur Son is growing-up-- he probably was the first one to run off the ship to have big-time FUN-FUN!!!!  I told U Gurl---everything was fine, because I was out there on my sailor FB page for about 4 hrs. prior to sending my blog on comment wall.  I'm glad ur son had the good buddies to Celebrate with him, (Steak sound yummy too)!  lol  That's why I only shared 2 of  my sailor blogs with U & N4M's, so the rest of the Mom's wouldn't stress-out if they hadn't hear from their sailors yet!!!  All of our Sailor's has worked extra hard and really needed that Liberty of Freedom!!!  ;)  Cool!!!!

ps: U know we do secret codes on this comment Wall. (read between the lines and pick-up the hints).  lol

Coach Sheila.... I'm glad U got and the rest of N4M's got ya'll laughter's/Happy On!!!!   You mention something about nominating me to leading the Happy Dancing, that's fine.  Just need more information where the day before party going to be held.  I did get the Newsletter, but I haven't received any more updated info from Ombudsman yet (18th days ago, there were all in meeting with Navy finalizing plans for homecoming) and she said the packets would be going out once they reach a decision. 

Catsmom....Thanks for all of ur kind and thoughtful comment, U kno our children's would always be our babies no matter how old they get.  We Mom's are protectors by nature, of our chickens and anything involving them and anything that try to come between us, U know all Mama's will Flick-off in a blink of an eyes.  :)

Gina......I having been to bed yet,  I been up on my sailor FB page during the night adoring all the nice photo's, Blogs & see who friend his page (juicy stuff, lol)while on my lap top.  And I send most of the those photo's to my Photo's files.  See I didn't know hw to do social media until I got with N4M"s it was when I joined the Truman Mom" Group that I became active involved.  Because, I felt lost and worry not hearing from him, I felt like our Sailor's weary (don't know what to do and just want to go home).  lol   Don't U know FB lets ur friends know U r online & FB has this free text feature at no charge.  This text pop-up on the scream with his face, gurl I screamed with joy!!!  So, I feel like heaven now--- we kept texting back & forth.  So, tell T ur sailor get that FB started so ya'll can communicate more frequent & U both send each other photo's.  So U can have a peace of mind and run to his FB page when U are missing him or via verse.  I have a smartphone cell and I can do all of the about on cell.    I hope this help other Truman's Mom's & N4M's out here.  Peace & Love 2 all of you all, such a big blessing to me!

Busymom, the good thing is that he will not be gone too long. He's in good hands. Hang in there!

Let's all keep our fingers crossed that the Russian buildup in Crimea doesn't delay our sailors homecoming.  Truman is there alone with it's force because the Nimitz left for homeport in Everett back in November.

If you are a praying person, give your prayers to Secty John Kerry and the other diplomats that they can calm this issue down using words.

Winski, I almost never post either. My son is an officer withVAQ 130. He is planning to fly off the ship and fly back to Whidbey where we are planning a homecoming at the base. I don't know too much about the aircrew and whether they will fly off too, but I can try to find out.

Zee Anne.  I'm sure rumors fly on a ship with over 5000 people on it.

However, we must be realistic by remembering what the Navy IS, what they do, what our sailors are trained for.  Truman is alone in the area since the Nimitz left back in November.  The Navy will do what it is ordered to do with regard the increasing tensions over there.

We mustn't speculate...but we must also not despair.  Our sailors are warriors....on a war ship.....whose duty is to protect and defend.

 Here is the info from the newsletter about the Night-Before Event

- To be held at Vista Point on Naval Station Norfolk from 4:00-8:00 pm, the night before homecoming.

- This will be Open-House style, you may stop in any time from 4-8.

- If you do not have a military ID, your sailor must put your name on the expected Homecoming attendee list. This will also allow you in for the night before. Otherwise you will need to go to the Pass Office

Morning ladies, I have heard from my son in "code" with Truman's return date. It was exactly what I thought it was going to be. Of course with all that's going on over there that could change. My son is definitely flying back a bit earlier than your sailors will be for his leave then will go back to Norfolk to prepare for your sailors Homecoming and stand first watch in port, so I am very excited! I will be seeing him a little sooner than you all will see yours and am so looking forward to it! Hopefully nothing will prevent his Homecoming and your sailors Homecoming from being delayed! I have been praying for this and will continue to do so.  He also told me not to mail anything else out as he won't be there to get it. Did tell me his last 3 pkgs have arrived which is good as I was afraid they may have gone for a swim with the sharks-lol! I saw the info for the day before party too and apparently they are doing that a little differently than last time. They probably have more room than the Portsmouth Hotel did. That was a bit crowded. I do so want ot be there with you all but financially it would not make sense to spend all that $ when I will have already seen my sailor beforehand. It's just such a fun exciting thing to experience and I wanted to experience it one more time! Ladies please do take pictures and videos and post for us who aren't going to be there so we can experience it secondhand through you. We had some more snow over the wkend here in Oh but fortunately not as much as they had predicted. I am so ready for Winter to decide to be over with! Have a great day!
