Happy Sunday N4M's Sisters! I surprised my Sailor yesterday with a small email: Momma, happy dancing & sending my Prayers up real high 2 GOD, 4 whole entired Ship & Crew members 4 a Safe return back 2 the States & home port! Hang in there baby, ya'll r headed HOME SWEET HOME!! My sailor reply back: "THANK"! So, why are ya'll momma's waiting 2 hear from your sailor's? They need some eextra sugar in them to hang-in there just a
little while longer until they can cry into your arm's and say "THANK YOU" for holding me up, I LOVE ALL OF YOU!!! I challenge the Mom's that hadn't heard from their kid to: short email them some extra sugar (♡♥♡♥♡)!!! Peace & Love :)
I'm still happy dancing! Seeing those pics of the Bush and Truman took my breath away! I'm so glad our loved ones are getting to experience that! Have a great day and week! Stay focused, patient and positive!
Sandman713...Thank You N4M Sister, I was out all day yesterday enjoying 77 HOT degrees here in Atlanta!! I read ALL comments on my Smartphone, but I never thought to look on Truman FB page on my phone. Well, Im never to old to learn new things in life. lol
Hey does anyone know what kind of weather we should expect for the arrival? It looks like Norfolk has had a terrible winter with ice storms just awhile ago. Should we bring winter coats and shorts? Flip flops or boots? Utah skipped winter this year and just sent it to the east coast.
Just got to FB message with my sailor! He said he was on the flight deck and got to see the Bush sailing along side them. He said it was "sweet."
Saddened that B-ready decided to leave the group. I read all the postings (have them forwarded to me email) but don't get on the actual N4M site that much to post. The prayers and support from this group is amazing! I am glad that he is doing better and seeing a specialist. Equally horrified by the room condition and that he wasn't listened too. Seems to be a sad and unfortunate end to what was a promising career.
My son is taking first leave so I won't be at Homecoming but hope to see pics and can't wait to hear your stories!
The weather here in VA has been up and down: 75 degrees yesterday, 47 today and 39 tomorrow!!! You can check accuweather.com, it gives you an outlook of what the weather might be for April and they're pretty good. It might be off a couple of degrees here and there but it gives you an idea.
I seen the photo of the Bush relieving the Truman and I almost cried! So proud of my sailor! I love all of the positive posts, prayers and humor! You all have made these last couple months for me a lot more bearable and easy going!!!
Hi Paula, I have been given the chore of figuring out how to get this car picked up and get headed for home… have you had to make any phone calls? I finally tracked down where the cars are. They are at a dealership in Suffolk, VA and the person I spoke to told me she has 40+ cars sitting there waiting for our sailors to get home. After speaking to the dealership, getting this car picked up is not as easy as my sailor thinks it's going to be and it has to have insurance on it before they can drive it off the lot! Sure wish he would have just waited until he got home.
Zander'sMom & other N4M's Sisters... Its not that hard, when my Sailor first came to Norfolk he brought a there. Didnt have a clue what to do, I call GEICO & USSA Insurance Co, in VA you have to be with insurance co that do VA resident & got estimates for him. They gave him a good Military rate discount. He
had out of State Driver License which he kept but didnt want the hassle of coming back home every year for emissions test. So he got VA tags & a military sticker to park on Base. So I email him to contact GEICO for verification, they fax me and him insurance paper & temporary card. They mail him his hard copy of insurance card. Then he when to DMV in VA and got hard tags! I hope this help ya'll Sisters out! Good luck!! Peace & Love

We are in Ohio also Paula :) but my sailor did not set his car up to be sent here. Wish he had of! lol! I will keep plugging away. He wants to register it here in Ohio, and the contact at the dealership told me there is a 3 day trip permit he can get in order to get the car home and then register it here. Just need to work on insurance for it.
Our Sailor's are Important, they have things to do, people to see and places to go when they all return back Safely! We are they Personal Assistants, remember they each are our HERO!
They are probably singing
"WE MADE IT".......
"WE MADE IT".......
"WE MADE IT".......
May GOD, Bless each and everyone of them! I really APPRECIATE them ALL for what they do to make us Safe!! I send my LOVE, HUGS and KISSES to the entire USS HARRY S.TRUMAN FLEET CREWMEMBERS, our N4M's Sisters and the Truman 4 Mom's Group! Thanking GOD, Almighty for Working IT!! ♥♡♥♡♥♡ Teamwork! Yeaaaaa Baby! HOOO-HOOO
Peace & much Love!
Have not been on NM forever!!! So nice to be back ! DOES ANYBODY KNOW about the homecoming meeting in Norfolk ? About were to go etc.... on theyre homecoming celebration at when they doc !!! SOOOOSO HAPPY!!!!! WHOOYA!!!
Wow. I'm almost at a loss for words... haha almost! My paper chains are getting so short it makes me so happy to see. (That's right. ChainS. I have one at home above the doorway with the banner and a teeny one on my work desk as well! Ha!) I just wanted to say thank-you to all of the moms and grandmas and significant others on here who have been supporting each other and myself throughout this. I discovered this site half way through the deployment and it is nice to have the support. I might not get on here as often now because the countdown is driving me crazy enough as it is. I am going to try and keep my head down and keep myself busy with work until homecoming. But I will be back the few days before homecoming as I will look for details on meeting at least some of you the day before!
DARmom. Cranking is "temporary additional duty". Each sailor is assigned a duty on a rotating basis. Some work in the kitchen, some clean Officer quarters or work in the laundry or things like that. It's usually 60-90 days. ALL sailors below a certain rank do this. It's part of the job. And, most of them don't like it. It's called building character and discipline.....ha.....
Hello everyone! I've been saying prayers for the Mother in Norfolk. It really hit me hard when I saw his picture posted this morning. GrandmaBarb...my son mentioned in his last emails about his working on "character development"...sounds like cranking.
Ladies, Have been so busy here at work. The gal that sits next to me got mad and walked out last week which really sucks for me. She was always full of drama and a bit of a Red-Neck so i am really glad she's gone other than the fact until they replace her I am the only one who knows how to do this job and I am doubly busy! That said I am feeling all your excitement growing with our impending reunions with our loved ones! First my son said he was going to have to come back with you all so we started gearing up to go meet his ship in port, now he told me a couple of days ago he thinks he will still get to fly off and take his leave a little before you all get back and be there to help set up in port again for your arrival. So he is going to let me know for sure once he ever gets that officially confirmed.
That said I have been too busy to find our Cabana boys. I sent Cowboy to find them a while back and haven't seen him. I did find this gentleman though...mmmmm.htm

My sailor called tonight and calls are rare and precious; he tends to stick to email. He sounds so excited to be coming home. I can hardly wait!!
