I have a friend that texts a Bible verse every morning.  This is today's:

Ecc 7:8 Better is the end of a thing than its beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

Thought this fit! Not much longer!!

Happy Birthday to all the Sailors who will be celebrating this month!

Sure hope they get to get off the ship soon. My girl and some of her shipmates booked a hotel room for 2 nights. Would love for them to have that luxury. They have all earned a fun liberty! And some time to relax.
  • Navymom2

I googled Palma de Mallorca and the name of our ship.  I read the Spanish comments written by the locals and was VERY SURPRISED at some of the hostile comments.  I hope our sailors are reminded about the security issues before they get off the ship.  As Ms. Carrie told us...keep praying for the safety of all of them.

  • mtn50

Happy Birthday to all the sailors who have birthday's this month, especially to mine who turned 24 today.

  • mtn50

Coach Sheila you are awesome for posting such uplifting pictures.

  • carrie

Navymom2.... Thank you for co-signing what I said, I don't know Spanish-- but I do know GOD!   When my N4M's sisters sent the link of Truman in the wave my Spirit instance pick up negative vibes that something wasn't right.  My College student happen to call me and said Momma you know they are going off on the Ship!  And if I they can't get off the Ship they just might has well head back to their Homeport!  I told her I just saw the blog about the waves and I'm going to send my sailors an email to pray!

N4M's Sisters, with sooo much going on and its been two week and look at the tragedy that has taken place at Norfolk and Fort Hood!  You know our Sailor's are tied, fed-up and been ready to just COME HOME SAFETY!!!!!  Its just to much for anybody to digest, so PLEAASE let send these Prayers up to GOD!

Its call Teamwork, ladies we can do this because we Mom's holds this World up with GOD help anyway!!!  :)  Ps: my sailor has a 24th birthday coming up in couple of day also a Aries!  "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL APRIL SAILOR'S"!!!!

  • Catsmom

Carrie, never stopped Praying! You know we have to do our part. Your right, they ar SO READY to be home.

    Navymom2 what did they say?

Not much longer We will be Hugging our Sailors!
God Bless all on the Truman, and God Bless all of you, my Navy Sisters!
  • Navymom2

Catsmom:  The very last comment on page 1 is in English. It reads Yankee Go Home.  Some negative comments are rantings  about "reading history and the consequences of Imperialism"; some negative comments are from Socialists.

On the other hand, a woman tells the reader not to mind the negative comments are the women there are ready for men who are not gay. The folks who have businesses are happy our sailors are there as well. They say the naysayers don't know what is means to work. Others are just happy the port is busy again.

Navy Moms lets lift all our sailors in prayer.  Thank you Ms. Carrie for leading the charge...

  • Carol Ann

Ladies If you google the wording and translate to English you can understand what all is being said if you do not know Spanish. My Spanish is pretty bad, so I had to do that. Interesting....

  • GrandmaBarB

Most computers have a "translate" function.  Here is the translation of the news article in the Spanish paper.  Obviously, it loses something in the translation but at least you get a general idea....in English....of one sort or another:
