I was on the Facebook page of the ship. It was the first thing I saw this morning and set my mood for the whole day. :)

The aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), bottom, relieves USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) in the Arabian Gulf. George H.W. Bush will soon depart the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility for its homeport at Norfolk, Va., and Carl Vinson will take over support of maritime security operations, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. Is email down today? I have tried sending something 4 times and it keeps getting returned. There are no special dates or important information on the email and I even said something different without any pictures on them and I still got the same message that it failed to be delivered. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. We have not mention any dates or anything about what is going on.

I have some of these same questions!  Haven't had to many conversations (email) with my son, I know he's very busy working).  How do I know if I am on the FRG email list?  Does the FRG (email), send out regularly?  I don't want to ask my son questions, cause either he doesn't know answers, or can not say!!

I think I am on the FRG email list, as I was told they were adding me, but I have up til now, not received anything?  Should I have received anything?

I recently sent my sailor a request to add me to FRG list.*** In the email request to him....For his ease; I wrote the email for him so all he would have to do is copy paste and hit send.  All went well!

The FRG will send you a welcome email once you have been added to there list.

Yesterday I received an additional email with all the upcoming event and rules etc.

Thanks everyone!  I did receive a "welcome" from FRG about two weeks ago, at that point it didn't have any details about homecoming, but nothing since? 

I just got an e-mail from the FRG explaining that the information e-mails go out in rounds because they are limited to how many they can send out each day, so don't fret if you have not received yours yet, you should receive it by Friday.  I was curious, so I e-mailed and asked.

I did receive the email that the FRG had sent out but it was my sailor who passed it along to me. The FRG is very good about getting back to you with questions that you may have. I was also informed that if you have a military ID you do not need to be added to that list to get on base that list is for those who do not have a military ID which is why my sailor did not add my MIL. Also with them coming home and all the excitement they may forget to do so or may forget to check their email on a regular. It just depends. I got an email from my sailor this morning so the email is up but they could be busy or have last minute things happening. So just be patient.

I received something of FRG via my sailor.  Don't as how.  Same as Rikki (sent it 4x to me, guess they wanted to make sure I got it lol)

I got the email tonight too, but it came direct from FRG, not my sailor.

I'm one very proud Navy mom today, my son was awarded the Blue Jacket of the Quarter award today...I'm so happy and proud of him...can't wait to give him a big hug and a kiss.

Happy to hear my sailor will have 4 days off starting day they return.  Get to take them to a regular bed and a regular shower/bath to soak up some R & R.

Thanks everyone for the congratulations for my son, he is also up for the Blue Jacket of the year but he hasn't heard anything yet. Happy for those who get to send time with your sailor at homecoming, I will have to wait a while for mine, my son is in a squadron and they will be leaving for their home port as soon as their off the carrier.
