Welcome to Navy For Moms. You are invited to join the SF Bay Area Navy Families group. (click on the link) One benefit of being in our group is the opportunity to attend our meet and greet events throughout the year and meet face-to-face other Navy families. Our geographical emphasis is from the Marin/Sonoma to Monterey and from the Bay to Alameda, Contra Costa Counties. We have a number of families in the East Bay. Click on “+ Join SF Bay Area … “ to join.. I am the creator of the group. BunkerBee – my son is a nuke on a sub. P.S. You have join N4M just in time to attend a meet and greet on March 28 in Fremont. BTW, we have another mom in San Mateo County whose son is attending college on a NROTC proigram.
Medic's mom: Are you coming to the meet and greet in Fremont on March 28? Looking forward to meeting you. We have a number of people who went to PIR within the last couple of months. Don't hesitate to ask quesitons (with any and all groups). We have a number of moms from San Mateo, RC, Burlingame, San Bruno.
BunkerBee,
I will not be able to make it that day but I'm sure there will be others. New to this sight so not quite sure if I am doing this right yet haha.
Medic's mom, there definitely will be other meet and greets. Please go to the SF Bay Area Navy Families group page. Click on the link below. Right on the first page is a calendar with all our events. We're very social and love getting together with each other (even when the isn't an event). The first one after that is April 10. BTW, we have many dads who attend the gatherings. He and siblings are all welcome! The two moms (one with a Corpsmen in Afghanistan and another with a son going through A school will be more than happy to see you through this. We talk to each other everyday on the SF Bay site. So come in, introduce yourself. We are all there for you.
Medic's mom,
Good Morning ! My son is in Afghanistan ...He left in Oct and should be home early summer..Please if you have any questions I will be happy to answer them... I hope you join corpsman's moms and dads and also there is one for corpsman moms too..A few of the ladies that are on those sites can really help you through the tough times...My son did his A training in Chicago and the rest of his training at Camp Lejeune. Now my son is Navy gone green which mean he is with the Marine's.
I am so glad you found our SF group we are a lot of fun and right now that is what you need..We all worry so much about our children weather this is the first time away from home or like my son who has not lived at home for almost four years.
Navy Hugs,
Marsha
Hi Medics Mom, I am getting very excited too. Jacob has called twice and I think we have received 4 letters. At first I was very worried about him, but he seems to be getting adjusted now. He sounds better with every letter. I can't wait to see him!! How about your son, I hope he is doing well too.
