When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Welcome aboard! Come join us on the Indiana group page on this website! You may also want to look into the boot camp groups...a lot of helpful information and support can be found here.
Welcome to the group. What is her field. My husband will be staying at GL so I will get to spend alot of the weekend with him after he switches to the A school side of things.
Jeremy will be AECF. His A school will be in Great Lakes. Has Katelyns said anything about their division not doing well? Jeremy said a lot of people were stressed and hated it, but he and Evan (his best friend) were doing OK.
Harry with be AECF along with Becky's son Jeremy. I am not sure that the DIV is earning extra calls, my husband last letter was 7 pages long and he talked alot about how bad the RDC's were saying that their DIV was. Not sure if that was just a mind game that they play or what. The good news, only 24 more days till we can see our loved ones again.
so did you get a letter today. I did, sounds like the DIV is finally getting things together. They got 2 flags, finally. Hope you are getting as excited as the rest of us are for PIR.
Hi, Katelyn's Mom, and welcome to Indiana Moms! I'm the administrator for the group, so if you have any questions, please ask. My son is a Nuke MM serving on the submarine ALABAMA, based out of Bangor, WA. He's been in for 3-1/2 years.
By the way, there's a monthly informal dinner in Avon (west side of Indy) which meets on third Mondays. I know it'd be a drive for you, but if you're ever in town please just drop by. Click April 19 on the Events calendar (right-hand column) for those details. There's also a gathering in South Bend on April 24 to which you're welcomed.
The 8 weeks of bootcamp are tough for the sailor AND the mom, but they WILL pass! Just write as much as you can, keep telling her she can do it, and that you're proud of her and love her, no matter what happems. And if you attend PIR ("Pass In Review" = graduation), you'll be so proud that your chest will hurt!
Jump in with any questions or comments you may have. I think you'll find we're a nice bunch of folks and always willing to lend an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. Hugs! k.
San Antonio, Texas? That would be great. San Antonio is a great family town and is a great place to vacation when y'all come to see her. Where is she going to A school at? How long before she comes to San Antonio?
That is great. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need to know anything about San Antonio. Or even if you need me to drive by the base and check on her. I would be happy to help out in anyway. I'm going to email you my personal information so you can contact me if you need to once she is here.
Hopefully the calls will come on the 8th, after then finish battle stations. I read that most calls come the after noon after, that way they have time to shower and eat first. Can't wait to get the I'm a Sailor call, just a few more days!
hi katelyn's mom, I have a birthday card ready to send to you for your sailor's friend. .. where do i send it? I live in california, i will send it priority if need be. I just want to help lift her spirits.
