I am a 40 year old mother of a beautiful, smart and amaizing daughter who is leaving for the Navy July 19th and I am scared, proud, afraid, and grateful for her decision. She is my only child but I do have a wonderful supportive husband who I know will help me through this.
I am here to support my
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Waiting to leave for Boot Camp
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
I am very fresh and new so far the experience has been very positive but we have not left for boot camp.
Welcome to N4M. Your key to adjusting is finding a group (or groups) where you can feel comfortable and get answers to your questions – Click on the underlined links:
1. New Moms Stop Here group. You should think of this group as your orientation station.
2. Depper’s… in but not yet . is a group for those just waiting for bootcamp to start (Delayed Entry Program – a depper)
3. Boot Camp Moms group. Just about to go into Bootcamp? or already in?
4. OCS Graduate Moms or the NROTC Moms. For those going to be an officer or going to NROTC?
Check your page (click on MY PAGE) & status box (INBOX, FRIENDS, SETTINGS) often. If you don't you'll never find out what messages your new N4M friends have left
Best of luck, BunkerBee and AbbyblueOK (from the New Moms Stop Here Group)

carituggle,
I see you joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to personally welcome you. Please feel free to jump in and join our chats!! We like to discuss everything from our sailors to our jobs, weather, whatever. It's also a great place if you want to yell, scream, vent, cry - - there is no judgment involved!!! Brag about your sailor but also tell us when you are hurting because you miss her so!!! Looking forward to getting to know you and your sailor!! I have a son and a daughter serving and another daughter was just sworn in to be a Naval Flight Officer after her college graduation. Again, Welcome Aboard!!
Hope your daughter is doing well at BC. I see you have joined your PIR group. Make copies of the letter with the PASSWORD for getting you parking pass. So many people loose that and go into a panic.
I see you have adjusted to being a part of the Navy family. I want to send you a belated thank you for the friend request. I have not resolve some minor difficulty with my N4M "addressbook" When I select multiple recipients, the friends who receive my message are not always the names I had selected. Typically, private messages are use for communicating issues that are more personal in nature, so for now I am adding friends only when someone is in need. You find me on a daily basis in the Safe Harbor & New Moms Stop Here group . Please join if you haven’t and we can talk there. BunkerBee
Hi there, my daughter's name is Taylor Palmer. I am going to write her and tell her that Kayse 's mom and I are emailing if that is ok. I think they would get a kick out of it. Especially if they have become friends. I made reservations at the ramada scheduled to arrive thursday. I plan on attending the meet and greet. We will bill driving in from ashtabula , ohio. Thank you so much for writing back. I think this is really neat. It helps me. I miss my daughter so much.
carrituggle,
I am so glad you have found other moms here who have sailors in the same ship/div as your daughter's. It's so nice to hook up with moms whose kids are going through the same things at the same time. However, you must be careful not to disclose any last names on this site. It is open to anyone who might be interested in gaining information about our troops. It is one of our OPSEC rules so just be aware of any personal info you post here. We all just want to keep our sailors safe!!! GO NAVY!!!!!
Hi Cari - I sent you a couple messages regarding the meet and greet and I was able to delete one of the messages for you. Hope your having a good day. Hugs!
