This Navy Mom stuff can be so hard. And the not knowing is the worst. Just remeber that NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS> Our children are now NAVY property and they will take very good care of them. -Not like us moms can...but they arent going to let anything happen to them.

Are you talking about the pictures of your recruit? Yes, they will have pictures. If paid for already, they bring them back from their ship after PIR. If you need to pay for them, I believe you get them in the NEX after PIR. Some recruits may have mailed them home (if they were paid for). My son told me in the I'm a Sailor call after BStations that he had his pictures and would give them to me at PIR (he had paid for them) which he did.

Also, if your son is GradNGo, he most likely is leaving from the base on the bus with others around 2 a.m on Sat. You can meet up with him at the airport if you like (make sure you know which airport!). There, you can stay and visit with him and give him his cell/laptop, etc. He cannot have any of that on RTC. The USO is wonderful out there to the sailors and families and it will be a great time for you. Unless he is on a charter plane....then parents are not able to see the sailors.

We lived behind the I guess old high school. It was funny - we could hear the band practicing but Jaimee (daughter) still rode the bus! Where did they build the new HS?

Hi, wanted to welcome you to the AECF group. Is your son at A school now in GL? Is he going to be an ET or an FC? Our son is an FC and is now with the fleet in ...Hawaii. Someone had to do it!!! lol

Please let us know if you have any questions and welcome!

We are @ 35 miles from the Sam's Club in Mckinney. It would be great if you could come. The kids are doing a great job. The HS students were over at the Elementary School helping them make cards and decorating the bags.

My mom is home from the hospital now. And I ended up getting sick and was not able to go. We are still trying to get donations. I am suppose to find out from Sam's Club and Costco at the end of the month if they are going to help.

Well there are 345 Sailors on the Cruiser. What is your private email address and I can send you a copy of the paper i about the Sailors. I also have talk to the Starbucks in Greenville about donating. I still need to go to the ones in McKinney and Allen to see if they can also donate coffee.
