The Navy offers opportunities that...: Is that I didnt realize how much I would miss my son when he was gone. I am truly one proud mom...he has begun to turn into a man...He has learned some valuable lessons and I am here to support him and our military in any way I can....
Our Navy experience so far...: It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Awww! I'm so happy you were able to spend the day with him! I know it must have been hard to leave, but there are other visits to anticipate and enjoy! As to the Mom-induced AWOL, I don't know that the Navy would smile at the notion, but I'm sure that it would elicit at least one grin at the originality. "No, really, Sir. My Mother made me do it." "I suppose your dog ate your homework, too." :-p
