Awww! I'm so happy you were able to spend the day with him! I know it must have been hard to leave, but there are other visits to anticipate and enjoy! As to the Mom-induced AWOL, I don't know that the Navy would smile at the notion, but I'm sure that it would elicit at least one grin at the originality. "No, really, Sir. My Mother made me do it." "I suppose your dog ate your homework, too." :-p
