    hi welcome,  my son is in ship09 div 073 so practically neighbors.lol.. his pir is 2/11/11 so maybe we'll see or wave to each other .. tues 2 weeks in and only 6 to go.. we have the easy part, worrying about our children. haven't heard anything yet ..waiting for the first letter but my joe is not a big talker so know it'll be a short letter.. i even sent him with a self address stamped envelope for his wallet ..

    Awesome. My husband is also AECF, but they told him he wouldn't find out if he's ET or FC until closer to the end of boot camp.

    Hi NavyGirl, thanks for the add, happy to answer any questions that I can or help you find the answers.

    You need to join our AECF group - the group is for ETs and FCs. Have they already told your daughter she will be an FC?? They used to tell them in their 3rd week of boot camp but this past year they have been waiting until the end of boot camp but they can tell them at any point during boot camp.

    Expect her to be in GL about a year for school for both ET and FC students. And then she will move to another state for C school. She won't know that location until the end of A school.

    Either way it's a great rate with lots of schooling on the front end, generally about 18 months of school but sometimes the schools are backed up and she will be on "hold" waiting for a class to begin. In the meantime she gets paid the same either way :-)
