So glad you finally got your phone call!  It seems to mean all the difference in the world.  We are now in the final stages and I think the worst is over for our SR.  Are you going to PIR?

Good morning!  I posted on the main board to you in answer to your question about time with your GL A School sailor. The person who posted above your post is incorrect.  Not all sailors going to GL A School move over right after PIR (GradNGo).  Some are held on RTC for a few days and move over mid-week the next week.  Your recruit should find out in another week or so if he is GradNGo or not.  Only he will know.  If you can't hold off on flight arrangements right now, then I would suggest you stay at least until Sunday night as you should have the weekend with him for sure.  If he is GradNGo and moves over on Friday, you may even get overnights with him.

Sounds like a great plan!  If your sailor can't see you on Monday, you can take a drive through Wisconsin which is very close--drive over to Lake Michigan!  We loved doing that...saw the waves and then the part that was totally frozen...with fishermen ice fishing through a little hole from the pier...and yet mallard ducks were swimming near shore in a small portion that was thawed!  Kind of amazing...
