I went with him to MEPS and was able to watch him get sworn in, than I went to the airport and waited 6 hours with him and the 5 other guys that was leaving with him. When we said goodbye I started to tear up a little bit but quickly turned away and went on my way. I didn't wait for the plane to take off because I didn't want to be an emotional wreck at the airport. By the time I got to my car I was okay, and started on my 2 hour drive back to my town. I picked up my dog from a friends, and drove home. I even thought to myself "this isn't that bad" and finally later that night I was sitting on my couch with my dog and realized oh my gosh.. I'm going to be alone every night for the next several nights, and I lost it. Andrea, I was such a bawl bag! Finally, the crying stopped and I got the "I'm here" phone call from him, and he asked me "Are you okay?" And I lost it again, he had about 2 seconds to shuffle me off the phone and later he apologized lol. It wasn't his fault, that's the way the Navy is. For the next few weeks it was the hardest, and than I found this site and it was like an angel guided me to it. Although sometimes I get sad, and yes I do cry, it doesn't hurt as bad as it did when he first left. It's definitely going to be a hard road, but I know that it's the right choice we made for us and our future family.

Always know that you have a whole support system with this site! It's okay to vent to us, and you're doing the right thing by letting him think you're okay. He needs strength to make the next 8 weeks go by smoothly. Vent to me, to us on here, try not to him. :)

I haven't gotten a letter either, or the form letter. I've sent him 11 letters already, and I hope he's getting them. It would kill me if he wrote me saying that he hasn't received anything and ask why I'm not writing, when I'am.

I hope to get the form letter soon, so I know when the grad date is. That would make me so happy.

Lets see if we can get letters in the mail this week. Cross your fingers!! :)

They were about 20min in between. He needed to get some information from me on the 2nd call. The first call was so unexpected. I looked at my cell and read "US GOVT". I freaked out lol I answered and said "Hello" he says "Hi..." and I started yelling "OMG"... My poor honey starts crying and starts asking me how I'am and that he misses me and loves me. I tell him and fine and he like shakes it off trying to act all tough and stops crying. Poor baby!! :) Told him I missed him like crazy. Second call he asked info about me. I asked him how bootcamp is. He said it's rough and tough. He said he got a calling card and stuff. Then we had to hang up. 3rd call he just called to say I love you and that he misses me, and he'll call me soon :D

Call one was about a minute and half.

Call two was 7 minutes.

Call 3 was 1 minute.

I'm so happy. Loved hearing his voice. He told me to stay strong :)

So stay strong!! You'll get a call soon too. It's gonna be unexpected. You're gonna be so happy :)

Phone is glued on me too =) Your hubby is gonna get a surprise haha! You sent 14 letters at once, he's not gonna know what to do haha! He's gonna be so happy =D

I like your page by the way. Looks nice =) I haven't quite figured out how to make it all pretty. Where did you get the wallpaper for it?

Aw! That's great that you got to talk to him :) Even though it was just "What" "Hello?" lol As long as you heard that "I love you" :) ... That's all I would need.

I'm doin' alright. Still haven't gotten a letter. I'm hoping some time this week I will. It's the 3rd week his been gone this week. So we'll see.

I bet you get ur letters tomorrow too! My hubby wrote his grandparents who live in FL and he sent his out sunday and they didnt get theirs today...so i bet tomorrow is your lucky day! He said the RDC's are starting to relax a bit and things are getting easier. He also said time is going by fast over their because they keep them so busy. They only get 2 hours to write on sundays and the RDC's told them they will start getting mail this week! They are working out a lot and he said he will be buff when I see him again lol They got their shots last week and the peanut butter HURTS!! He said he misses me like crazy but he's still glad he did it which makes me feel better. Let me know when you get your letters. He sent 2 to me and one to the whole family. And make sure to send your man lots of pics, thats what my hubby asked for.

I had the most AMAZING wake up call ever this morning. Jake called me :D Sooo good to hear his voice!! He's kinda sick, but hangin' in there. He said I got a lot of letters to read :D Cant wait!! He's gotten all of mine :) I ♥ him so much!!

Yes. He said they only get to mail out on Sundays. He said I would be getting a letter once a week. He said, he puts everything he did for that whole week in that one envelope and then sends it. I wont get mine 'til next Thursday he said. But he said there's like 30 pages in that envelope lol So I'm gonna have lots of reading to do. He told me he wrote me for an hour everyday :)

I'm guessing they get mail everyday since he's gotten all of mine. He told me to keep sending letters everyday ( demanded lol). He loves it! So keep sending your SR letters. He will really appreciate it. Also, you can send him little articles of his favorite things. I did with my SR and he really appreciated it :)

Keep your phone on you at all times! (on loud, incase you're sleeping lol) You never know when you're gonna get that special call :)

no i am sorry to say no call yet, but it seems most of the moms/wifes havent got a call yet either. and i am not sure why a few have. one of the moms that her son went in the weekend before ours, she had not got a call yet either. maybe this is our week!!! 4 weeks tuesday!!! i am so happy for that.....i am doing ok, my son sent 1 letter and he didnt sound good. so since then its been rough....but then i here many other letters with the guys getting teeth pulled and being sick, sounds terrible. so i just keep hoping and praying for him to be ok. well gotta get to work. love your page. keep in touch,

 My son mentioned Div 93 & 94 being sponsored by Camp David. I'm pretty sure he said weapons intro & training started this week, as he was very excited about this part.

He sounded great on the phone this Sunday!  : )  He's happy and making some good friends. Where is your guy going for A-school?
