Proud Navy Mom
My oldest child and only son is following in his grandpa and great grandpa's footsteps! I am very proud of the young man he is and the Sailor that he is becoming.

Kathyann - Just saw your post on Boot Camp Mom's. From what I can see from your PIR group there are only 7 Divisions graduating. That means there will be enough room for your mother to attend the PIR. The 4 that were named on the form will have priority, but there should be room to add another person. You may need have her wait in the Visitor's Center until all "invited guests" are seated, but you can always save an additional seat for her.
When my son PIR'd 5/14 - there were 8 Divisions graduating and there was plenty of room in the Great Hall for additional people. That was my experience with PIR. I know that when there are 10 or more Divisions graduating, seating is at a premium and no additional people are able to be at the actual ceremony. They can see your Sailor after the ceremony, but that would be it.
I hope this makes sense. Any questions, just ask or friend me. Hope it all works for you!
