Best of Luck to your daughter!  I was a Corpsman 20 years ago, and my son just left for GL today! I am so proud!  Tell her it will be ok, but if I could offer a few tips from my memory bank:

    1. don't procrastinate.  If you're given free time, use it to Iron, study, or shine shoes.  that's it....don't waste it talking to your shipmates.

    2.  Go to ANY Sunday Service.  you can cry, worship, think, rest, relax.....no stress or yelling there....

    3.  STUDY hard and keep your mouth shut.   You don't want to stand out by yelling at others, but use your time studying the facts and showing military bearing and patience.  You will learn more by observing the mistakes and actions of others and minding your own business...

If you see someone struggling, help them if you can, but not at the expense of the unit or yourself......

Good luck and thank you thank you for your service

Thanks for the friend invite!  I sent you a private message but thought I'd also post on here.  I saw your post on juliebelle's wall and your daughter's call sounded exactly like mine.

It's strange how comforting it is to chat with other moms who have kiddos there at the same time as my girl!

How are you doing?  I was hoping for the box today but it will get here when it's ready! ;)

Tiffany (from March 5/6th group) posted tonight that her son called (she missed the call) and said his PIR is 4/27.  Makes me wonder if we'll be that same day or the following week...guess time will tell.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Vivian - Happy Monday!  I haven't received my box.  Have you?

I just got my daugher's address with her ship and division info from her recruiter.  She's USS John F Kennedy Ship 09, Division 138.  Just wondering if you've found out your daugher's yet?

I'm sorry... :(  I'll pray that it comes today!  It's got to be soon as our girls went the same day and we just got ours yesterday.  Hang in there and I'll be anxious to hear from you! :)
