A little about me:
I am a momma of the grown kiddos. Our oldest joined the navy 3 years ago. I remember all the worries, sleepless nights, and the pride at graduation.
My middle child did not follow her brother but she is doing wonderful in her new life.
Lastly our baby, he graduates this year and plans to Join the Army. Army???? ME:We are a navy family! Papa was navy, uncles were navy your daddy was navy and brother is navy!!!!
SON: great.. I am proud to come from a military family now it's time we expand our love for the military. What do you think dad?
Dad: I think it is a great idea. I am very proud of you.
Me:I love you BUT do i have to have one of those ugly gold signs in my yard. Can I paint my own?

Son has now been in three years. He is in the medical field so he has not been ship assigned.I Am just as proud of him if not more than I was the day he joined.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
