Hi, My sailor started June 11. He had moved up to Saratoga Springs in April and was on Prefill. He lives with 4 other sailors in a 5 bedroom house about 20 min from the ractor plant. I remember there was a test when they first got there. but I thought that was to measure radiation. When he did start it was class. and there was a test I think called "off Crew" when the class part was finished. The 50% I think is about half way through and it tests what they know so far. I too find worry creeps in my thinking, but I try to remind myself that my worry does no good, so I thank God to be taking care of the details in his schooling, getting along with the 4 roomates, traveling to and from, etc. etc....I also remind myself of the fact that he has done fine and come this far, and as I tell him often "What one can do another can do!" What State are you from? We flew out a month ago when he had his first 4 day break.
Bonnie, I was going to respond last night (11:55) when I was on checking email, but decided I was better off going to bed and saving the emails for this evening. Yes, I am up way to late at times, I like getting in to things when house is quiet. It is a bad habit I got in to long ago when I worked a rotating swing shift in a factory. I know exactly what our guys go through on crew with the shift schedule as mine was almost identical in the plastic factory that ran 24/7 with 4 shifts. Funny thing is our sailor is our one and only and the house is pretty quiet all the time now. Sometimes I get 'lost' with my beads and the different things I do with my sun catchers. Next thing I know it is midnight. That is only bad when I need to be at school by 8 the next morning. I need to get some new pics of Holiday 2012 on the etsy site. Maybe tonight yet??? Glad you like what I make, I sure enjoy putting them together. I do give a 10% discount on sales to any military families. Will talk to you later.
Bonnie, I should have put a little note in the package concerning the Mini. It is for you, to say thanks for your order. When people place a larger order with me I like to give them something special. Here in MN I sometimes cover the tax. So glad to hear your sailors success on the 50. Mine shared that after all parts of the 100 were graded, he passed them all. He also said he had 14 more signatures to get then oral boards on the 8th. We are talking now about how all his stuff gets back here and he to his ship, and where his truck will be when he is out on the boat. Glad you came through the storm in good shape. I am taking tomorrow off and will have some excitement here. A TV station from the twin cities, KSTP has a program called "On the Road" A couple months back I wrote a letter, sent a sample suncatcher, and asked if they would consider featuring my in home business. They will be here tomorrow morning and probably film me working with beads at my kitchen table. I am just a little nervous. Will let you know how it goes. Take Care, and God Bless
