Proud mom of two wonderful young adults. A daughter in her third year of college and a son who is on his way to Great Lakes to become a U.S. Navy Nuke.
I am here to support my
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
They are not only supportive of the recruits but of the families. I couldn't be more proud of my son and his Recruiter was top notch.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
Hi! I remember you.:) I am holding up pretty well (today, lol). I got my sons contact info last night so I am alittle more upbeat. His graduation is Dec 21st Im assuming your sons too. So....How are you doing?
Yes, if everything goes as planned we are doing to PIR on the 21st. My family is in IL and IN so we will be spending a few days there, hopefully Edward will be able to have a day off before he flies out to A school so he can see his family too. I'll message you my cell number before then and maybe we can meet up at PIR. I cant wait to see my boy :)

Our November/Christmas adoption will be announced tomorrow on Molly's group page in the "Discussion Forum." It's going to be really fun!
I see your sailor is going to be a Nuke! My sailor is an EM Nuke on the USS Pasadena.
Hi. I am sorry to hear you did not get your letter yet.:( I bet it will arrive in the beginning of next week. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. It will make you happy to see his handwriting even though its a fill in the blank letter :) I have been looking at pics on that site hoping to see my son. I want to see what he looks like in uniform :) I totally understand about the birthday, my son turns 18 in bc this month. Try to stay strong, we will hear from our boys soon and before you know it we will be hugging them at PIR :). Take care and let me know when u get a letter or a call. :)
It was a very happy Veteran's Day for us! We got a call from our sweetie in 906 around 8 am. She sounded so much stronger than the week before. I hope everyone else heard from their SRs in 906 too. We signed up for Sarge's meet & greet on the 27th & found some very interesting info about how holiday leave/stand down was handled last year. Let me know if you haven't seen that yet. Keep the faith ladies. Our kids are stronger than we think & we have to stay strong & positive so they can be focused right now & not worry about us!
Who knew when we had these baby pictures taken 17 years ago that she would actually end up in the NAVY!
Hi SC - for the info on the way last year's holiday leave was handled go to PIR 12/28 page and on the right column under Pages near the bottom see the link. I think Sarge's M & G is on the same page under events, but if not, you can probably type it into search the way it's listed in your events column & it should come up. Let me know if you can't find it. Keep your phone in hand! J
