barbydahlzz, I am so sad that I wont get to meet you at PIR and that your son wont be graduating with this group.  I know it's a huge disappointment for you.  I hope this doesn't make you feel worse but a lot of Navy moms will be the better for the fact that you will wind up in two groups.  Whenever I come on line yours is one of the pictures that I look for.  You are always ready to rejoice when someone else gets good news or commiserate when they don't.  Your empathy and support have made this journey a lot easier for me and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.  You've made me a better Navy mom.  You may not wear a uniform these days but you still serve the Navy.  Thank you. 

39/40 going through on Sun OR Mon night---PIR week?  Did you hear one of those dates for BS?

Hi Barbydahlzz, 

My son was due to graduate Jan. 13th also, but was ASMO'd due to medical and is now in Ship 04, Div. 2341.  His could be up to 6 weeks for recovery -- Yikes!!  Hope your SR is doing well.

You are so sweet!!  He was in Div. 041.  Had shin splints and kept running, so it developed into stress fractures in his ankle.  We got the call from him on Wed., 1/4.  The call he made was so short (and at 6am, so I wasn't thinking too clearly to ask all the questions I would normally have asked), and he had just been xfered in.  We did receive a letter yesterday, and he sounded so down that it was truly heartbreaking.  He's normally a pretty "up" guy, so hopefully he'll get his normal personality back soon and be himself again.  Thank you so much for your kindness and caring.  It really helps to know that others are going through the same thing.  Reading some of the posts for Div. 2341, it looks like stress fractures are a very common injury.  I'm sure he's receiving great care, so I do feel better now. 

How about your SR?  Doing better?  I noticed people talking about Phases of care.  Does that refer to where they are in the "healing" process and how long until they are fit for duty again (if you know)?  Thanks again!!
