    If you look on your ID DEERS application you should see your eligibility dates at the bottom. Mine started the day he left for basic training.

    Oh wow.. I got mine on the 6th. My husband signed it on 5/2. When did your husband leave for basic?? My husband left on 4/17 and he was held in processing for a week or so...maybe that's why they pushed it through b/c he left so early.. Idk.
