Profile Information:

A little about me:
I'm a newby Mom of a Sailor who left for bootcamp on April 17, 2013.
In addition to being extremely proud of my son, I'm so happy he decided to
move forward with a career in the Navy. I look forward to being able to
talk with the other Navy Mom's (and family members). I think it will help me
get through all this.
I am here to support my
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Needed to learn more about it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
There is a lot of paperwork to go through. The most interesting thing I learned was that the Navy wants their people to be physically fit BEFORE they come into bootcamp. I think that's great!
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Good morning, my son also left on the 17th and I got his BOX on Tuesday. Still have not received the LETTER!!! I was able to call my SR's recruiter on yesterday to get his mailing address and he informed me that with no set backs (PRAYING) his graduation date is set for June 14.

Good evening ljones1501, I have not received a letter or a phone call!!!! I was happy for all of you that did get calls but it also made me sad that my SR did not call!!! Still stalking the postman, waiting on a PERSONAL LETTER from him, I took three letters to the post office today and I've got another one ready to be mailed in the morning!!!! What ship/division is your SR in?

When I spoke to my son on Saturday he told me that on Sunday they would be able to write and send out letters..I have sent him letters, cards, but still have not received a letter from him. Only the form letter. with his writing on it.. Still wanting to know more of what he is going through at boot camp.  I am pretty sure you want to know the same thing. So many thing run through you mind not know what is going on with them.. Not being in the constant communication with them.. It is really hard.....
