Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Join the group, PIR 10/11/2013 TG 48, to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR. 

Since your SR will go to "A" School for Interior Communications Technician (IC), you will want to join IC Sailors; you may also want to check out IC- Sailors. You may also find others with loved ones with that rating in Engineers, Snipe Moms, and Snipe Moms(enginers). You will also want to join Great Lakes A School Q&A and GL A-school moms. You can also check out the Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes Facebook Page. The Rating Information Card for IC can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/ic.pdf . You are very welcome. If he does indeed get reclassified into the Nuclear Field, which seldom happens once a recruit is at the RTC, you will want to join NUKE moms and you may also want to check out Nuke School Charleston and Nuke A School FAQ.
