Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect while you have a recruit and to help you prepare for PIR. Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted." You may also want to check out Mom’s of Navy Daughters, Mom's of Daughters 2, and Women in the Navy. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

My daughter is also Ship 11 Div 396.

Hi Szycrmchezy, My name is Julie and my daughter Kayla left for Boot Camp on August 20, 2013 and she is also in Ship 11, Division 396. I also received her box on Tuesday and her form letter on Thursday, I was so happy but at the same time emotional. I am so glad to know other moms who has a son/daughter in the same Ship and Division as my daughter. If you don't mind me asking.. what is your daughter's name? I like to know cuz when I write to kayla I always tell her that I have been communicating with some of her recuite moms.. Thx and God Bless Julie

My daughter was also very anxious to me be leaving to start her Navy career.  She is my middle kid and has always been a go getter type of person.  I'm so glad to hear that your kids are doing well.  Yes, praying for our girls.  I'm sure they will do great things.

Hi Szycrmchezy, Do you know if our girls will be able to make a call home soon?.. I send Kayla a phone card, I am hoping she can call home soom.. Have you booked your hotel and airfare yet? I booked my hotel with NAVY LODGE.

Hi Szycrmchezy, Do you know if they will be posting any photos of them in BC on facebook. Her recruiter said he will let me know once they do cuz sometimes they (recruiter) will see it before us.

Hi Szycrmchezy I also received a letter from Kayla on Friday I was very happy to know that she is doing good and adjusting to BC. She said all the girls in her division are like sisters to each other, which i was happy to hear. I havent gotten a call yet. Do you know if everyone on Division 396 makes calls the same day, Cuz if so then I missed it but my phone doesnt show that i missed a call. Julie
