Since you have a Recruit at the RTC, you should change "In the NROTC program" above to "Enlisted" because NROTC refers to the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps, a college scholarship program. You aren't the first person to make that mistake and you won't be the last. If you do and you know your SR's PIR date, go to http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that. If you don't know the PIR date, join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcampin September, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together. I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones)

Since your SR is a candidate for Aviation Rescue Swimmer or AIRR, a special ops rating, the Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, will have some important information for you. There are some changes within OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) that you will want to make beginning with number 1. Your new Sailor will fly out to “A” School in Pensacola after BC. You may also want to join Sailors In Pensacola, FL For A School....Corry Station too!!, and Parents of A School Sailors in Pensacola. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend once you get the form letter.

When he gets to pensacola he will be phase 1( only go out on weekends in uniform (NSU))
Phase 2 he can go out in civilian clothes and liberty until 10p weekdays and 12am weekends
Phase 3 he can sleep off base Friday and Saturday
So once he is phase 3 you can live together but he will only sleep home 2 nights in the week unless he has duty that weekend where he has to stay on base
