I am supporting my nephew. My brother-in-law died after a long battle with cancer. His Mom is a single Mom working, and no time to compute, asked me to give her as much info as I can. So I read your forum and call her up. She has asked that I represent her. My parents met during WW II in the NAVY. My brother retired from the NAVY. My Husband is a Viet NAm Vet Army. The Navy was not the right path for my loved one/me.
We don't have MOS in the Navy, that's for Army, Marines, and Coast Guard. The Navy has ratings. Since he has finished "A" School, it will be a while before he can attempt to cross rate into EOD. He would have to meet very strict standards for that since it is a special ops rating. The time that the ship is in dry dock is actually good time for him. Time at sea is not as good as time on shor.
