Hi Laura.....I'm Dee. My daughter is also leaving on the 9th....picking her up on the 8th. I'm having such mixed emotions. I hope we can stay in touch and continue to support each other
Thank you! So much! I'm happy that your daughter and her are together they're becoming friends...and I'm happy for that. She's on crutches she twisted her ankle but she said she's ok! We raised some tough cookies...lol!
I found out that it could be either O'Hare or Midway and because there are so many sailors they can leave either Saturday or Sunday. ;-( I'm hoping the majority leave out of Midway and my daughter leaves Saturday. I've also read that our sailors will know right before graduation or sooner although I doubt they'd have enough time to send that info in a letter. I think I may ask my daughter to tell me what she knows during her "I'm a Sailor" call so if I need to I can rearrange my travel. Good luck!
Thanks Laurajo, the recruiters at the FF mall were very helpful to me, but nothing like you ladies here...my son is excited/nervous and all of the above. The job he has at the end of BC is MA so I'm guessing he will be going to Texas (if I read the spreadsheet right). Thanks!

Also join cryptology at pensacola moms, Sailors at Corry Station holding or in school, and Sailors In Pensacola, FL For A School....Corry Station too!!. The Rating Information Card for CTR can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/ctr.pdf. Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend. Since CTR is one of the Spook ratings, the information within the Page, OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile), will be important for you.
