Hi. My husband has the the same PIR as your son. I believe different divisions, but he will also be attending corpsman school. Anyways, do you how long the boys will be Chicago before they come back to San Antonio. I'm very confused about when I should depart from Chicago. I don't want to leave much earlier or later than him. I know we are all running off guesses but any information will be helpful. Thank you.
Thank you so much. Yesterday I got swamped looking for papers my SR needed me to fax in. I guess today I will look for a flight. Thanks again I've been winging it.
Hi there, I got a letter from my son last Thur. He had a bad couple of days after getting his wisdom teeth pulled. He is a section leader & he feels pretty proud of that. (I know I am). I've got my flight & hotel booked, now just counting down the days!! How is your son doing?

Check out Basic Medical Technician Corpsman Program Facebook Page. The Rating Information Card for HM can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/hm.pdf; it indicates 19 weeks, but "A" School is 14 weeks after classing up. Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.
If your Sailor is picked for the Field Medical Training Battalion (FMTB) then check out Camp Lejeune Moms and FMF Corpsman moms. If he becomes eligible for SARC, check out SARC, Special Amphibious Recon Corpsman.
