Hi, Thanks for letting me know! My son wants to go FMF really bad and is super smart. I was concerned that the fellow who told him this may have been jealous and was trying to undermine his chances of getting in. Good to know, though! I am really enjoying getting to talk to him nearly every night. We used to do that all the time before he left for the Navy. It was hard when he went to BC, but we moms must let go to let them grow, right? :)

Join PIR 11/15/2013 TG 01 - 11 Divisions (001-010 and 901) to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR. I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Since your SR has a contract for Hospital Corpsman (HM), sometime between now and the end of BC, join HM (Hospital Corpsman) A School in San Antonio and check out Basic Medical Technician Corpsman Program Facebook Page. The Rating Information Card for HM can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/hm.pdf; it indicates 19 weeks, but "A" School is 14 weeks after classing up. Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.
