Welcome to NavyforMoms.com. My name is Ronny and my son has been in the Navy since February of 2012. He is currently stationed in San Diego with a Helicopter Squadron. He is an Aviation Structural Mechanic. I hope you find all the info you are looking for here, and if you have any questions feel free to ask. My son is 3rd Generation Navy, so I do know a little about the Navy..:)
If you have a new Sailor who is in Boot Camp, or leaving soon, visit CallsforRecruits.org and I will send you FREE Pre-Paid Phone cards for your SR to use while they are in boot camp. I started that program when my son left for Boot Camp :)
Welcome Aboard and I wish your Sailor Fair Winds and Following Seas.
Congrats...and I wish you the best of luck...there is a page on my website, callsforrecruits.org, that is called navy boot camp day by day....it might give you a little insight on what to expect...:)
Yes, I appreciate that very much!!! I don't have his address yet! Have been looking every day for the mail! But, no letter yet....it should be here by tomorrow. I am going to get off here now, and call his recruiter and see if the recruiter has the address, so I can at least send Michael a valentine! I work part time as a speech path at a charter school in town, so I have to leave for work at the moment, also! But, I will be getting back with you when I have an address. I really appreciate your willingness to give Michael a head's up!!! :)
If you want to write him and give him a head's up on what to expect in Monterrey, that would be great! Also, did your parents come to see you at PIR? If so, where did they stay? Was there a great place to eat around there?
All the best. Hope your studies are going well. I spoke to Michael briefly this morning. He had received a phone card. So far, all seems to be going well. thanks!!! susan
