I just saw your comment.  Sorry I did not reply sooner.  Have you gotten a letter or call lately? I have not heard from my son, Justice, in over a week : (

Hi HuffyMom23, I got a phone call from my son today. He said he is doing good. I can't wait to see him next month. We are from Nampa, Idaho. Are you going to the graduation ceremony?

  • GGCmom

I also read that they passed the marlin spike test (it has to do with ropes) and the division won the chief petty officer challenge (whatever that is) and won the flag. Sounds like theybmust be working together now! His letter was VERY positive!

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

I see you have joined Great Lakes A School Q&A; you will also want to jon GL A-school moms. You can also check out the Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes Facebook Page. You will be able to enjoy extra time with your Sailor following PIR. (See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend.) What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for many of the ratings with "A" School at GL.

Since your SR has contracted within the PACT program, the information within Professional Apprenticeship Career Tracks (PACT) Program will be of interest to you.

Thank you for my message you left me!! I don't get to come on here much and I was happy to see a message from you. Its really hard to let our kids go, my boy is the baby of the family and its really hard to let him go on his own and grow up. I miss him so much. I know the Navy is the best babysitter there is but I still worry. I have 2 boys 19yo & 23yo, and even though I was proud of my son enlisting in the Navy I was sad too. So I look to babying my dogs right now lol.. Its hard to let go of that momma role, they will always need their moms I don't care what they say lol. I know you must be very proud of all your kids. Hugs
