Hi, I see you have joined the MA groups. Master at Arms is a rating very dear to my heart since my Sailor is an MA. The discussion, Break down week by week, within San Antonio MA's will let you know what happens at NTTC Lackland (San Antonio).  The Rating Information Card for MA can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/ma.pdf. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) to help you know how to plan your weekend. I invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) as well. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

The information within Professional Apprenticeship Career Tracks (PACT) Program will be of interest to you if you have someone in that program.

We both have strong willed daughters I imagine! I thought I was ok with my daughter leaving. Then when we got home I started crying thinking about how little I will see her over the next several years :( We're very close! Now I can't wait to get her next call and her first letter. I still tear up often, and don't see how missing her will ever feel easier! But I know it will just become bearable. But I am very proud of her and know she can do this! The fedex guy showed up today & I thought it was her box so I again started crying, but it ended up being something else! Lol I feel like such a baby even though I imagine what she is going through is harder! Keep me posted on how your daughter is doing!

Great picture :) mine is of my daughter Jessica. I hope to get her box soon. She was told small address books were ok, but I am wondering if they made her ship that home. I have been writing her since that first day :) I start out writing a fresh one every morning and write through out the day, always ending with a good night I love you. I have a least 15 pages, lol. But I know she'll be happy to have them since she asked me to write her everyday. And I feel better writing her. Now I'm waiting for her recruiter to call me with her address. Hang in there Mom! We can do this :)

What's your daughters name? I'll write my daughter and ask :) I haven't gotten my daughters box yet :( I've been pretty sad myself. The biggest thing making me feel better is trying to plan a trip to her PIR but not sure if we can make it. I'm now feeling pretty deflated. I have a 2 year and a 4 month that I couldn't leave with any family so they would have to make the trip with us which increases our expenses. I'm seeing how it would cost us at least $2000 for the airlines, car rentals, hotel and extras. It's depressing me realizing now that it's not likely affordable for me to go. My ex husband will be there for her, but I really wanted to see her before she left for another 96 days at her A school!

We should know more once the SR's get their addresses...or rater once we get their addressess :) I am making it a point to not to share her name...but her initials are JB.

When did she ship? I thought I remembered that it was close to my SR...you should get the box soon...and she should be able to keep the address book...it is just the waiting that drives us moms nuts. I keep hearing that no news is good news...so we must be patient :/

I keep getting sad...it was exactly one week ago we dropped her off with the recruiter...she shipped on the 9th. Not really crying anymore...just miss the sound of her voice and her coming into the room saying "mommy" because she wants to go somewhere.

    waiting...arg.

It would be fun if they ended up in the same division :)

I have not confirmed this info yet (with the form letter), but if the recruiter is right...our girls are together :)
