Hi.  I just wanted you to know that I was in the same situation as you are.  My daughters letter didn't arrive for many days after.  I got the box... but the letter was delayed for some reason.  I promise, it will come and you will feel so much better.  Then, you will live for the next letter.  Then, the first call will come from Waukegan, IL and your heart will stop.  My daughter graduates next week.  I am a veteran...and I know what she is going through, so that makes it hard and easy, at times.  But, when you get the letter, you will have an outlet (address) to write letters now.  That will make you feel better.  The letters are few and far between at first, but they will get Sundays off from 0700-1300 for personal time and letters typically arrive around Thursday or Friday.  Then more calls if they get rewarded.  Keep the faith...there is a process and in 8 weeks, it will be over!

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. Start with OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and Arrival and What Happens at the RTC and read 1 or 2 pages a day and then go back to them as you need the info.

Take care and blessings to you and yours.
