Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. Start with OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and Arrival and What Happens at the RTC and read 1 or 2 pages a day and then go back to them as you need the info.

If you would like information on your recruit’s rating (job/occupational specialty) or field, then let me know the rating or field. There are groups for most specialties and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend.

Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Kim827, I see you have changed your Username; you may also want to change the URL to this page. Make change 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile)  (clickable link) to take care of that. (If you are using a Smart phone, you will need to switch to Desktop View to make this change.)

Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.

It's not a good idea to post a pic of your recruit every time you post, so also make change 4. To increase PERSEC, don't include ANYONE in your profile pic.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Divisions 175 and 176 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 (BST) together, so look for others with loved ones in either division.

Since your recruit is in one of the last two regular divisions in the TG, you can expect the "I'm a Sailor!" call only a day or so before PIR (probably Wednesday). Write to your recruit and ask when Battle Stations-21 (BST) will be so you will know when to expect that call.

  • NavyGF

Oh, I hope they two know each other somehow! :) Maybe we should get their calls anytime soon as the other division started having their phone calls :)

Hi! So comforting to hear from other Moms that have our kids together! Hopefully this will be the week we get our first letter and call!
