Profile Information:

A little about me:
I am a single parent of three children. Two beautiful girls and one handsome son who made the decision of following in his great-grandfather's footsteps of joining the Navy. I have been a semi-military brat most of my life due to the close relationship I had with my grandfather. I grew up around Norfolk and have been here most of my life. I am very proud to say I had begun volunteering at a VAMC at the age of 8 and remained until the age of about 35 when I was then banned from the property for exposing the terrible care our veterans were receiving. I have been dealing with many mixed emotions of my son leaving as he has also. Overall I am very proud of him and as he grew up I knew he would become a man who would never disappoint!
I am here to support my

You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas!

Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question.

Good Morning Heidi - I am one of the "seasoned" moms on our BC Moms group and in the Nuke Moms group. I noticed you had "liked" B'sNuke Mom's message about leaving for BC and I thought I would stop by and introduce myself.

I am happy to answer any questions that you might have. If you click on my little chipmunk picture, it will take you to my profile page and you can request to be my friend if you would like. I don't usually do a lot of follow up, since not everyone is in the same place with communication and it is also difficult for me to keep track of everyone, but it is easy for you to keep track of me.

My son has been in the Navy for over three years now and is on your side of the country now in the fleet. Welcome to N4M. When you are ready and want to join, we welcome you to BC Moms (loved ones) group - in the meantime you can go there and read a lot of the information that is available there.  Here is the link again, - https://navyformoms.ning.com/group/bootcampmoms

Hugs as your son is deciding on his next steps in life.

FYI - If your "friend" someone then you are able to send PMs (private messages - like email) to that person. You do that by going to the Inbox in the upper left of this page. Or if you have friended someone and see their profile picture, you may click on that and it pops up under their picture with the option to send a message
