Then jump right in!  Browse around the site and check out the groups and the information in their Discussion Forums.

Join this group for boot camp moms, where you'll also find a group for your Pass in Review (graduation) date; and this one for PIR Reference Information.  

Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas!

Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question.

Hi Mary, I noticed that you had liked B'sNukeMom's post about discussions before leaving for BC. I just thought I would say hi. I am one of the moms that sticks around in the BC Mom group to help answer questions. 

Is your loved one still waiting to leave for BC or are they there? We would love to have you join the BC Mom group!

My son has been in for 3+ years now and his is currently out in the fleet. 

Hi Mary - I see you joined the BC Mom group. I saw and read your comment to me. I did not approve it because you have a lot of specific dates and information in there that should be kept more private. I have to be away from my computer most of the day but I am sending you a friend request. I can answer all of those questions in what we call a PM (private message but it will be later before I can get back to you.) - Some of the general questions you may ask in BC Mom group and some of the other ladies will answer for you. 

Sounds like your son is going Nuke if headed to GC and mine is as well. You will want to join the Nuke Mom group but one thing at a time. 

Also, I just noticed that your profile indicates you are male - is that an error?  You should correct that.

And welcome to our group. We are so glad that you are here. How well I remember those feelings when my son first joined. Phoenixmom another mom in the boot camp for moms group posted a lot of links for you to read over. It is on the comment wall. 

Let me know if u have trouble finding it. I am another mom that helps out on the site as well.
