    Welcome to NAVYforMoms.com!

Head to “Settings” on the main page right away to add a profile image (no last names visible, please) and complete your Profile. Then - and this is important! - read these Community Guidelines and this Operations Security (OPSEC) Checklist, for the safety and privacy of all our Sailors.

Then jump right in!  Browse around the site and check out the groups and the information in their Discussion Forums.

Join this group for boot camp moms, where you'll also find a group for your Pass in Review (graduation) date; and this one for PIR Reference Information.

Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas!

Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question.

This site was created by the U.S. Navy just for you, and we look forward to getting to know you and your Sailor.

Welcome to the NAVY family - we're so glad you're here!!

Bogus things happened and daughter did not ship Feb 2020. Along with several other females that were given false reasons on ‘why they were discharged out of DEP’! One year later, she decided to join again. She shipped on the 9th of March- 2 week quarantine at Fort McCoy Wisconsin. P.S. I was told that the previous Recruiter was discharged for his “false DEP Discharges”.

    Hi Jana,

I am having trouble with the chat so I am posting my note here.

You should receive the form letter in about 4 - 5 weeks. Some have received a letter from their SR before they got a form letter. Shanny never received hers, but had letters with his ship # / div # With that information we can help you figure out the rest of the address.

As far as a phone call - Those have also been coming about 4 - 5 maybe 6 weeks out from leaving home.

Jana, You are welcome!!  - Be sure to look at the video links that are posted on the left hand side of this page. The behind the scenes one, I think is similar to something that my husband found for me, and it at least gave me an idea of what my son was going through so that I could have something to pray for him regarding what was going on.

    Jana,

First of all, I am so sorry this message is so late getting to you.  I have been crazy busy with some family matters and have not been able to keep up to date on this website.  But I see you recently joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!!!  We are a friendly, caring group of moms always willing to listen and support.  Please feel free to jump in and join our conversations on the group page!!  We like to discuss everything from our sailors to our jobs, weather, whatever.  It's also a great place if you want to yell, scream, vent, cry - - there is no judgment involved!!!  You can ask any questions you may have, talk freely about your feelings, fears or concerns, or just chat about life.  We are all in different phases of our daughters Naval careers and we are always there for each other!!!  Brag about your sailor but also tell us when you are hurting because you miss her so!!!  Looking forward to getting to know you and your sailor!!  Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!

    Good Morning Jana,

I saw you posted yesterday in the main room chat a question that Partyofseven replied to. But since those messages tend to disappear, I just wanted to answer here as well.

NO - The SRs are not allowed to receive any sort of packages at BC. They are given an allowance card to buy items at the NEX. Save those sorts of small gifts for once she gets to her A school and has a mailing address there. Even then, sometimes packages are reported as being lost or never received.

Be sure to post in the Moms of Daughters 2 group as well as in the BC Mom group.
