Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
At Boot Camp now
When I heard “Navy,” I...
was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
are excellent for the personal development of young people and literally helps them set their sails for a brilliant future of service to country! The journey provides an incredible immersive experience which is maturing and equips them for life. We are so very proud of our son! Repeated flight cancellations prevented us from attending his PIR leass than 2 weeks ago. It was devastating for us to miss this most significant moment with him, the celebration of this remarkable achievement and the joy of showing our love
by spending liberty with him! It was heartbreaking!... but what was so evident was our son's maturity about how the unexpected unfolded. He was extremely disappointed without a doubt, and he had made no plans with his buddies as he expected to be with us for what would be a holiday weekend! He spent his entire weekend on base in his new A school but he was happy. Happy to set up his new room, purchase needed supplies at the NEX and orient himself for the continuation of the journey. We are looking forward to this next stage of his journey as an EM and the new man he will be at the end of this phase. We say "Hooyah Navy!" and a BIG THANK YOU!
Our Navy experience so far...
has been positive and maturing., is challenging and exciting.
