Some days are better than others. Today is a little harder than normal because it is my SR Austin's 19th birthday. It is the first time I have not been with him on his birthday. I didn't get the phone call, Austin's girlfriend did. I'm ok with it because I would have been a blubbering idiot anyway and he certainly doesn't need that right now. She called me as soon as they hung up and told me about the call. She said he is doing well. He has met some good friends that are keeping his mind off missing home. I really want to know who those friends are because it would be great if those new friends are the sons of those I have met here or on the Facebook page. I am hoping for a letter today on his birthday, that would be awesome.

Hi Margaret-- Thanks for the friend request.  Looks like your daughter is a week ahead of my son at BC (mine left Florida on 1/17).  This is by far the toughest week of my life.  Have you received any calls from her?  Has her box come yet?  I'm excited and nervous about both...That "I'm here" call was rough.

These kids are so amazing.  I look forward to chatting with you.     Robin

Hi Margaret...I hope your daughter is doing well.  Do you  know your daughter's PIR date?  I'm hearing 3/9 for my son which would be awesome!!!  Stay strong!!  Robin
