I sent Staci a friend request and she replied so I was able to also send her the information about following new members. Feel free to add me to your friends if you would like.

Hi AZ_Raccoon - We’re in several of the same groups so I figured I’d reach out to you directly on a couple of comments you have posted in different places. ☺️  Based on how your daughter handled the mean girls, I’d say you’re an excellent mom!  I’m sure the RDCs (and eventually other recruits) will keep them in check. If they make it into the fleet and your daughter eventually runs into them, let’s hope it’s after they’ve had some time to “mature”.

I had the same panic attack about my recruit not having his driver’s license when he goes to Protype. I didn’t know they didn’t live on base either until I read about it in the NukeMoms group. I made sure he knew how to drive before he left - you never know what situation these kids may end up in. He’s had his permit for quite a while, but we just had so much other stuff going on before he left for bootcamp that we didn’t get around to the actual test. I’ll let you know if I hear about any good options. Seems like the ladies here have so much experience though I’m not sure I’ll come up with anything new/different.

So glad you got to talk to your daughter! After I got the first phone call it felt like the steam valve on a pressure cooker was released. After hearing his voice, I felt like I could finally take a deep breath and focus on my day to day responsibilities again. 😂🤣

It sounds like your daughter is doing great, hang in there!
