I am 50 years old, love our country, respect all those who serve and protect. My sons father served the Air Force, his Stepfather served the Army. I have family members that have served the Navy as well. I am both nervous and excited for my son. I know he will serve our country well.
I've seen where we're advised not to use the address given by the recruiter because things can change and it doesn't get letters to them much, if any, quicker. So I'm just going to wait for the letter. But since our SRs left at the same time, I'm hoping our PIR date will also be July 10. They will set up a new group for the July 10th PIR and then we can join and compare notes! I'm looking forward to meeting some other Moms and maybe meeting in person! Did you get "the box" yet? We haven't. But I'm not expecting it for another couple of days. I'm anxious to see what he put in it. :)
