When did or will your future Sailor ship to the RTC? If you know the ship date, go to the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month before Your Future Sailor Leaves for.... At the bottom are links for each of the months, join the one for the month that your future Sailor ships.

If you have a recruit at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted." If you do and you know your recruit's PIR date, go to http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that. If you don't know the PIR date, join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in September, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together.

The Rating Information Card for CTN can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/ctn.pdf. Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. Since CTN is one of the Spook ratings, the information within the Page, OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile), will be important for you.
