Tiff: I hope you saw the answer to your question on Bootcamp Moms. No, at Gateway --your sailor is not allowed to visit the room. Someone from RTC Public Affairs posted that. You may want to stay at Navy Lodge? He can visit there. It is only 1.5 miles from RTC and A School is right next door. He can visit at any of the hotels off base.
This is in response to Tiff who asked about her recruit coming to her room at the Gateway Inn & Suites on base: The answer is no. The students are NOT permitted to go to the Gateway regardless of whose room they wish to visit. They are briefed on this and are instructed they are not allowed there.
____ It can be found at http://www.navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms?commentId=1971797%3AC.... I am sorry that I gave you incorrect info. I am wondering if those who are not staying at the TSC for "A" School can visit there and that is where my misinformation originated or if things have changed with the change in command. Again, I apologize.
