My husband & I have 7 kids with my 2nd oldest son getting ready to leave in Sept . for Boot-camp.
I have mixed emotions as many of us do, but I believe this will be good for him & it's an Awesome thing for him to do with his life!
My other kids are happy for him, & of course we will all miss him!

If you have a new Recruit and need phone cards for them please check out Calls for Recruits.org and get them for FREE. I feel that the Family, Loved Ones, nor the Men and Women of our Armed Forces should have to pay for phone calls from Boot Camp. The link above will take you to the website to send the email for the FREE phone cards if you need them. Please spread the word if you know of anyone who can use this great service!!!

Just thought I'd let you know that you need to change your username. Last names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on N4M's as per the Community Guidelines The Navy For Moms Site Admin posts it in her welcoming comment but many miss it, no worries!). Read them Here:
It also has guidelines for OPSEC...links and such for posts and videos on it that are good to read. OPSEC is now a "way of life" for your recruit/future Sailor.
Please also go back to Boot Camp moms and ermove a post that you have on their with your recruits full name. I think it was yesterday. :-) Your username will automatically change on any old posts you have but the post there has the info in the body of it.
