He (Cody) graduated from Durango High School in 2011 and is a friend and fellow Eagle Scout of my son. My son joined the Navy while in high school and went to boot camp the December following his graduation, 2010, so has completed three years. Cody's family moved to Arizona so I think he'll be leaving from Phoenix this coming Tuesday. I'll be watching his PIR group on N4M. I look forward to hearing about your son and I'll be wishing both of them well the next couple of months.

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. Start with OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and Arrival and What Happens at the RTC and read 1 or 2 pages a day and then go back to them as you need the info. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted."

Make changes 3 and 4 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link). There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.
