My husband was in the marines for almost 9 years, our son Christian enlisted and we couldn't of been more proud of him, to want to defend our country and fight for our freedoms..we couldn't be more proud. Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
Try not to worry, I know the waiting and not knowing or talking to your family who is in the military is very stressful. But with the faith and patience comes great reward.

If you have a Sailor in the fleet, what is your Sailor's rating (job/specialty) and/or where is he stationed (what vessel, if one)? There may be groups I can direct you to.

If you have a recruit, if you know your recruit's PIR date, go to http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that. If you don't know the PIR date, join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in March or DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in April, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together. I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC will let you know what is happening.
