    I know the beginning stinks bad!  It does get easier.  Staying busy at work will help.  Truly the milestones help too...box of belongings-well, that helps some moms-not sure if I loved that one!  But, the form letter is awesome so you can begin mailing letters and know PIR date.  I had several to mail the day I got it.  For me that was this past Monday.  I hope you have a good day!

    Hi. My name is Janet and we live in Northern Kentucky (about 10 minutes from Cincinnati Ohio). My son, Adam left on July 16th. Right now, I'm afraid I'm going to be out of town when 'the box' comes. I'm a flight attendant and leave for 3 days at a time. I'm currently out of town and come home on Saturday. I leave again on Sunday and won't be home until Wed. Please let me know if you hear when their graduation date is. I hope we find out before August 12th... that's when I will make my Sept. schedule. Good luck to you, your sailor and your family.
