What is your Sailor's rating (job/specialty)? There may be groups I can direct you to.

RebeccaA.....e, I see you have changed your Username so that it no longer contains your sull name; you also need to change the URL to this page. Make changeĀ 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes change to Your Profile) (clickable link) to take care of that. (If you are using a Smart phone, you will need to switch to Desktop View to make this change.)

Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP Code to one that is not easily associated with you or your Sailor.

Since you have a Sailor, you should change "In the NROTC program" above to "Enlisted" because NROTC refers to the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps, a college scholarship program. You can make that change on the same page when you change the ZIP Code.

    Hi Ryan's mom
I too have a son that left for Bahrain a little over a month ago. I had all the same feelings and fear as I'm sure you do.
I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised how easy it is to communicate with him. My younger son FaceTimes him almost everyday and we use viber to communicate all the time. As a matter of fact I FaceTimed his 2 hours today. They are 7 hours ahead so morning and afternoons work best.
I can't say he is having fun but he has made alot if friends and us definetly making the best of it.
How long is your son going for? What is his job?
