A little about me:

I've got three children; a son and daughter in high school and a daughter in college. My eldest daughter is married to a nuke, and she'll be following him to Pearl Harbor in a few weeks when the semester is over. My son is also interested in the Navy, and my nephew is on a Navy ROTC scholarship, will graduate Virginia Tech in the spring and hopes to fly.

It's not as scary as I thought - I originally panicked. The last experience anyone in my family had in the military was during WWII. I've learned to depend on friends who have children in various military branches for advice and support.

Our Navy experience so far...

It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
